Hi everyone! Just thought I'd give you all an update on my situation. I went to mediation and I pretty much got everything I wanted. I have to sell my house though. I'm a little upset about that but at least I have my son. I got a lump sum for alimony. STBX and his lawyer didn't want to do that but ended up doing it. :-)
STBX wanted me to pay his lawyer fees and credit cards/loans out of the profit of the sell of the home. LOL.....there was no way I was agreeing to that. We are going to split the profit and pay off our own debts. :-)
All in all it worked out pretty good. The divorce will not be final until Jan. 2. My STBX agreed to wait for it to be final so that I can stay on his insurance until then.
So, I am pretty happy with the outcome and feel so much better about my life and am looking forward to moving on.
Thank you all for all the support~~~~

Hiya Darlin' !

I have mixed emotions at this news.

I am sad, of course, that your WH never found his sanity, but with his track record and delusion it was never high on the cards was it ?

I am sad that Cam will be a product of a broken family too.

Now the good stuff !

I have watched you grow in confidence and independence over the last year or so UNBELIEVABLY. You have rediscovered your wit and your candour when journalling is breathtaking. You hve a great skill for emoting how you feel which is REALLY healthy. the opposite of your WHs self-delusion.

You have fought like a TIGRESS for Cams best interests and that will serve as a huge role modelling example for him. It might just prevent his dad's selfish ways from becoming an infectious disease.

As I said to FF on another thread I am sad for you, but if you weren't so beautiful, funny and smart with such a GREAT kid and basicaly everything going for you but a potty WH I'd be more sad

All blessings tree. You have EARNED a GOOD divorce. The rest of your life starts RIGHT now.

{{{{tree & cam)))

LostHusband......THANK YOU!!!

Bob.....gosh, I don't even know what to say to you. You have always been there to lift my spirits! I do feel so much stronger now. I look back on this past year and boy was it a rollercoaster! I have grown in so many ways and have to say that I am proud of myself. I fought for my son and it paid off. It is very sad that his father has chosen this path. I have to let that go now....I need to move on for me and Cam. I will do my best to keep his father in his life and to let him know that no matter what he is loved by both of his parents.
THANK YOU so much Bob for always making me feel good~~~

I haven't spoken to you in quite a while. I'm glad things are going well, and I know this is a new beginning for you. You will do well.

I don't know if you still follow my thread, but my D is supposed to be final next week. My attorney and I are meeting with WW and her attorney Wednesday afternoon.

Tree-

I am glad that the conclusion to your horrific ordeal is on the horizon.

I am glad that you are getting what you need to take care of you and Cam and move on.

I, too, am so proud of you......you have taken the lemons life gave you and made lemonade.

I am going to have to reinterate something I told you a long time ago. There is a man out there waiting for you. He's been looking his whole life for you Trish, and he will recognize what a wonderful and strong woman you are.

You deserve the best hon, and you will get it.

That is very good news. I wish you could have kept the house though. But at least you have your son, and your husband IS coming out the loser in this.

Now are you going to work outside the home?

Tree.

Good things DO happen to good people. I am very glad things worked out as well as they did.

""STBX wanted me to pay his lawyer fees and credit cards/loans out of the profit of the sell of the home. LOL""

ROTFLMAO!!! The cheaters of this world are grasping slime that do not change and have no shred of honor.

You can look forward to the best New Years ever.
