Our first anniversary was very typical, I suppose, except that Hubby's effort was extraordinary. In addition to making reservations at a swanky restaurant I'd been dying to go to, he made arangements for a bouquet of roses to be delivered to our table in advance. He'd informed the restaurant staff of the event and the service we received that night was top-notch. Dinner out is nice. Flowers on the table -- for everyone to see -- makes the experience extra special.

Reminds me of what SS did for his GF on Valentine's Day. SS is such a sweet young man! He bought a small heart shaped ice cream cake and carried it by the restaurant and made reservations before picking up his GF. He set it up so that the waiter brought out the cake at the end of the meal to surprise her. It took a little effort, but really didn't cost too much. However, it was soooo romantic!

(Wish WH would learn a few things from SS.)
