Hi Belle,

I was thinking about you and wondering how the weekend went and if you are OK.

I hope all went well and you and your son are doing all right.

Hi Lora, thanks for asking. How did your Yoga retreat go?

Weekend went okay. Took S and a friend of his to Palm Springs, stayed at a nice hotel w/a beautiful pool (of course!) ordered Constantine on cable while eating room servie dinner, next morning my S went to the exercise room & worked out, we ordered Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy & breakfast room service, checked out & went to Knott's Soak City. Were going to rent horses at a stable after Knott's but I got lost. Drove home and exited at Cabezon to enjoy the enormous dinosaur sculptures and had dinner at the Wheel Inn rather than at Burger King or the other Burger restaurant. It was really heavenly. Trout was out of this world, then deserts.

Got home & most of H's things were gone.

I am not buoyant, relieved, happy, just sad and empty. Knew I was exchanging one kind of pain (living with a cheating husband who held me in contempt) for another kind of pain (empty house, son who visits between two places, end of all my dreams of a family.) But, think of it like this:

For years you have a headache from banging head against stone wall. For relief, you opt to take a walk on a bed of thumbtacks while carrying heavy shopping bags. I knew there would be different pain, but had to stop the first kind after 9-10 years.

Well, once you stop beating your head and let go of the heavy shopping bags, things will get better, eventually you harden up a bit and with no new constant pain, things start to fade a bit. I'm glad you both had a good weekend.

I had a great weekend. We were incredably pampered and encouraged to heal physically and spiritually. I got to meet Letstry from here and we had some good conversations about letting go and healing too. She is a great person who helped me along the way, and still helped me to open up and
be vunerable about the last few years.

I also have some wonderful news. I got engaged on Monday and am so happy about it. I will post the story for others to have hope for life after infidelity too.
