I've been with my GF for 2 years, engaged and living together for 1. We've had our ups and downs, but nothing crazy. I asked her this week if she thought we would be married in a year, she answered, "I just don't know"
She says that she doesn't make me happy...which I've never told her. She feels that it should be better before we get married. I feel that it is. We went to see her counselor, and ever since then I felt things we fine. But I do sense that she just does not commit fully to US. She waits for her dad to pay off her student loan. I told her when need to live our life together and not be dependent on others. I'm stuck...I was thinking about telling her to move out. Good move??

I think you should tell her to move out. One of the dangers of living together is that you keep waiting for things to get perfect before you get married. This puts you in a half-comittment situation. If you were married, you would feel there was no choice but to accept the bad and work on it. But without marriage you just keep hoping and waiting around for things to get better.

You guys are engaged. The fact that she says "I don't know" is essentually breaking the engagement. If you guys are living together, the rules of the house should be that you act by the same rules as-if you were married (except for keeping finances separate). But if she's still accepting money from her parents for student loans, that's clearly not living as-if she were married.

I say even if you still do want to marry her, you ask her to move out into her own place. If she wants to play these half-comittment games, then she is welcome to figure out if she is serious about you while living by herself. It's not that you want to threaten her to try to force her to marry you... it's the unacceptance of a half-hearted comittment AND her agreeing to marry you only to back track.

I definitely say, move her out!

I agree with wasp. I think that will get her attention and might make her work harder on your relationship.
Or she might just hit the road.
