Kathryn does have the IT factor...But Taylor is unique and genuine..

There is lot of Kathyrn's out there. There's not many Taylor's.

Ya know he has never been in the bottom two.

I week ago I would have voted for Taylor but we bought the new Shakira CD because WW wanted "Hips don't lie". I discovered that the CD came with a fold-out poster of Shakira in an "Eve in the garden of Eden" pose. WW said to put it on the freezer in the garage in front of the weight bench to motivate her for weight lifting. I admit the poster motivates me too.

So, if I buy a CD of Taylor or Kathryn. Which foldout do I want to put on my freezer? I vote for Kathryn. Sorry Taylor - you are really great. I have been influenced by extenuating factors.

Hmmmm...I think my H would agree with you..

H says Kat is going to get the guy vote for sure and she would definately sell music videos.

He said that people like to watch taylor perform and may not buy his CD's just for his songs.

Is that like voting for Taylor with your ears and voting for Katharine with your eyes?

BTW, according to dialidol.com, Taylor will become the next American Idol.

Well Bo Bice just went platinum. Kat will do just fine even if she ends up second. I agree about Taylor. He could be the next Wayne Newton. Maybe he should open up in Branson, MO?

I was thinking of a man who does not sell a lot of records but makes millions performing. I think that was the extent of my analogy.

I agree with that! I think Taylor will win, but not be wildly successful in the music industry. He is an entertainer and my 19 year old daughter says young people will not like him or buy his music.

I wanted Chris to win. Now I want Kat to win, so Taylor will probably win!

My opinion ~ Katherine may have the best vocal talent and Taylor is the better entertainer (although I am sick of "soul patrol" !!! )

I hope Taylor wins coz he is a good ole southern boy.

If Taylor wins ... Kat will make more $$$

If Kat wins ... Kat will make more $$$

My genius H told me today that any male voters who are not gay will vote for Kat !! LOL

He's prolly correct

I am guessing that Taylor will win. Not that he is that much better...I do think he did better last night. I think he appeals to people who liked Elvis...his speaking voice reminds me of Elvis. I was never an Elvis fan. Taylor doesn't have star looks. He was never in the bottom two.

Kat is pretty and has a nice voice. It seems she could go a bit further with that combo. My H got tears in his eyes when he saw Kat's father crying (actually that made my eyes a bit moist too) He thinks she should win. She definitely appeals to men...fathers. She tries to make eyes with the public through the camera. She tries in such a way that isn't quite real....But maybe that's just me. I like her alright but I'd probably never buy a CD, nor have I bought any Am. Idol singer's CD's...but then I seldom buy any CD's.

I've been wrong before. This is almost a toss up.

I would be curious to know WHAT percentage of the voters are male and what percentage female.

I'd venture to guess that female make up the larger percentage and the males that do vote come from the younger crowd.

My H. is sure not going to sit there and dial forever to vote.

I don't even know any guys who vote. My H and DS19 occasionally watch AI, but wouldn't ever bother to vote. DD13 and I have both voted a few times (for Chris ).

Lots of teens DO vote and they would likely prefer someone with a little more of the current "hipness"....or whatever they call being hip these days. That would be Kat, IMO. But the older folks love Taylor (older, as in not a kid...not necessarily geriatric ).

It would certainly help to know the demographic of who actually votes. That's the ? factor.

My 23 yr old DD thought Taylor was much older because of his gray hair.

I woted once, early on, can't even recall for whom I voted. My H would never vote...unless I submitted his vote for him.
I would assume that females vote the most....unless some young males just vote to throw off the results.

Nobody is going to lose here. kat belongs on broadway....taylor, in a jazzy lounge. They'll each find their niche no matter what the outcome is.

One of the notes Kat ended on last night sounded like she could be on Broadway. Your right, they both may win, one way or the other.
