Just thought I'd send an update. I will be starting 6 months of weekly chemo on Thursday. Because the tumor was small I will be having low doses, but have no idea how I'll react to it.

I'm not that worried. Family and church family have been amazing.

One of the things I've been learning (forced to learn?) is to be still and let God take care of the details that are His anyway. In reading Ruth Graham's book In Every Pew is a Broken Heart- I learned that being "still" is the same as "clinging".

WH isn't any more responsive than before. When I told him the kids wanted a reason why he wants to end our marriage,
his response was "tell them I'm done." He wouldn't explain what that meant.

Oh well. As a good friend said to me "God will deal with him much more creatively than you ever could."

That's where I'm at. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers

johnstwin,

Hopefully the reaction to the chemo will be very manageable for you.

I am puzzled by this statement.

Why would you take it upon yourself to explain your WH's actions to your children? WS's are notoriously nasty but many times ONLY if you let them. I would tell the children that I have looked in my heart and soul for that answer but that daddy will have to answer that question for them.

My prayers go with you.
