Most of you probably don't remember me. Short synopsis - Hubby cheated with a married co-worker and left. I wasn't working due to health problems, had a general meltdown, dealt with 2 hurt daughters, put up with lots of garbage.

Here we are now. Divorce is final, the kids are a mess, Hubby is still with his "soulmate" (who has just left her hubby), I'm working and life goes on, to some extent. And the scars remain, probably forever. I'm saeeing a wonderful man who treats me like a princess. He is supportive, caring, sweet, special blah blah blah and yet I question him, I wonder, I disect because, after all, what if he cheats too? I often wonder why he puts up with me. Like they say, wounds heal, scars remain. Don't suggest counseling, been there done that several times. I have trust issues and I know it.

Hope everyone is doing well and sorry to see so many new people here <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

That was one of the things I told my WH before he left. He said you'll find someone that will love you like you should be loved. I told him what's sad is I will never trust anyone again.
It is a scar the we have forever. Dealt to us by no fault of our own.
Can I ask how long you X has been with soulmate? My WH also took up with a married co-worker. Actually he's her boss. And it looks like we are headed for D. And there is no way I want this MOW to have anything to do with my kids.

Hi TD,

Yes, I remember you - don't remember your story - just the name.

I reg'ed within a few days of when you did.

I'm glad you've found somebody who treats you well. As for trust, I think you just have to look for inconsistencies in the things your new guy tells you - and study his history as best you can. Beyond that, I don't know anything you can do.

Good luck to you.
