well, for those interested, just wanted to say i just got back for the big atlanta to see gekko and it was great as usual. beautiful weather, nice times alone and with freinds. there was a big homecoming dinner at his church on sunday which was very nice as well.

can you believe this august it will be one full year all ready that we have been dating exclusively? sure goes by fast.

and i am still happy as a teenager who is in "like" up to her eyeballs with her bf.. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

oh newly, i truly am glushing and blushing.
every time we are together i fall more and more for mr. gekko.
i had a wonderful time this last time. and he is coming my way with his daughter in june. my kids and his daughter and him and i are going to do some fun thing and spend some time together. and i can't wait!!

it feels so wonderful when you are with someone you truly connect with, you truly share the same values and goals, with ,etc. we laugh, we joke, we cuddle, we watch movies. we sat outside on his front porch and just read our books not even saying a word to eachother but it was still an awesome closeness that i felt.

so thank you both of you. i am truly very happy.

I love to read updates like this because I do believe that we all will find that great connection when we are truly ready. It helps to see others who find it and share it with us. There was an MBer who shared details of her wedding, and the photos of the pirate wedding ceremony. I loved hearing about it all and sharing in the joy from afar.

My DD saw mee looking at the photos and asked who the people were. How do you explain to your children this online community of stranger/friends who help each other through good and bad.

i think it has made a big difference that we have taken our time in this. i know i rushed into my marriage, i was young and impulsive. and i think gekko in a way did too.

neither one wants to hurt that way again, or rush again, or not know for sure again. we talked for 5 months before we ever even met. then we would see eachother just a weekend here a weekend there. and kept talking every single day and asking questions and getting to know eachother. i think things changed dramatically when we decided to just see eachother exclusively and not let any others interfere with us concentrating on where we could go.

there have been times of fear, times of frustration, and times of complete and brutal honesty between the 2 of us. but we have come out better and stronger each time.

this actually feels to me like how a "big person" relationship should be, how a smart one should be, how a thought out one should be.

i shall try to keep posting positive vibes!
