I totally agree Orchid - that poor woman was sacrificed on the altar of Brittish royalty. It's a disgrace. A cow like Camilla - I think they deserve each other.

Dianna was just more discrete about it - a pity her OM wasn't really.

It's just irritating to me at least that she is reverred as a saint. She was a WS too. She faced choices like all WS's. She chose adultery not separation and divorce. She's no better than any other WS.

I do feel terribly sorry for her at the way she was brutalised by the royal family though. But I do think she knew what she was getting into and went in with her eyes wide open.

Never saw her referred to as a saint. I did see her as a BS for a long time, then she wore both hats. Her's was seen more like a BS turned WS. Pressure? Sure. Betrayal? Yep all around her. Not worth the title, that's for sure.

Perhaps in America it is different but you wouldn't believe the exposure she gets in the old colonies. She STILL to this day graces magazine covers on a regular basis. Definitely not worth the title.

She still gets headlines here also. What I meant by not worth the title is all the grief that she and her boys had to live through. All the wealth and power in the world didn't give her any real happiness. Charles is not fit t/b a king, he couldn't even make it as a husband. What a loser he is.
