Well, it's been 1 year since my first post here on MB. Hard to believe that much time has flown by. Plan A lasted about 7 months and I have been in plan B since about August 2007 - hasn't been the darkest plan B but communications about the kids have been kept to the minimum as necessary.

I really think my WW thought she was just gonna walk away with the kids without a fight from me, and she probably would have had I not found MB and listened to all the good advice from so many people here. Heck, I even left the house for 4 weeks until Mel and others here finally knocked some sense into me.

Well, I have had primary physical custody of the kids since January 2007, and WW was keeping them during the day while I worked. I was also paying her CS. The most recent event of significance is that WW agreed to allow me to put the kids in preschool/afterschool care and I no longer pay her any CS. I will say that this came about due to continued poor choices on her part, primarily with BHOM.

Now she gets every other weekend with them and she rarely makes attempts to call them during the week or to see them, even though the consent order says we believe we can work out alternate visitation for WW.

So anyway, I will post some more details, but I wanted to post this as a way of giving home to a lot of new posters who are men to say that you can find success fighting for your kids against the destruction of adultery.

I leave you with this for now:

Micah 6:8 (NIV):
He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Eph.. you're my new hero.

What were the circumstances of the custody thing? I understand if you don't want to go into the details here.. but I'm in the process of fighting for my son. She's been awarded Temp custody by the judge.. pretty much rubberstamping things I suppose I implicitly agreed to by not making waves..

DS needs to be home.. not much I can do about DSD.. but DS needs to be here.

Basically, Eph has the law on his side because he lives in SC and his WW was stupid. When Eph moved back in, his WW through a hissy fit and basically kidnapped the kids from him and took them to her mother's house out of state. Add to that the fact that SC is a FAULT state where they actually penalize you for ADULTERY and you need to be legally separated for at least one year before divorce, and Eph came out pretty well. Sadly, most cases don't work out as well for the father.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the support I got from so many of you. I would not be where I am right now without God's guidance and so many people here. What a blessing this site has been. So many people have been along for the ride with me, I hope I can thanks you all at some point.

PM - thanks for your support and suggestions you have offered during this time.

S4B - your growth is amazing. I still remember the music discussion thread waaaaay back. So glad to see you moving on and getting healthy.

sdguy - how are things? I need to catch up with your thread. SCQ still causing trouble?

FH - my friend, thanks for your advice, insight, and encouragement. May God richly bless you.

LilSis - hope you are doing well. Still in plan B darkness? I also need to catch up on your thread. We came long here about the same time, so glad you are still here getting support.

Jim - Things still going well with your recovery? I remember speaking with you so many times and praying for your own recovery. Thanks so much for al lyou did for me.

Jamesus - Jim described it pretty well above. My WW filed a LSA, and we went to court in January. It was at that hearing that the judge ordered the kids home and they have been home ever since. Thing was, I had made all the necessary arrangements to have my kids cared for while I was at work. I think you need to maybe try to focus on ensuring the status quo for your kids. I'll jump over and familiarize myself with your thread.

Shout out also to Mr. W and Mortarman - two guys who helped me TREMENDOUSLY. I can't say thank you enough.

Believer - if you are reading, thanks for your advice and encouragement along the way. You were a big help. I read your recent thread, sorry it took so long for your WH to emerge from the fog.

So many others to thanks - I'll get to you!

Hey Ace - no new movies lately. Everything is still on my youtube site - http://www.youtube.com/E525

I still need to make on with pics of me and my daughter - I just need to find the right song for it. I had thought of using the song "Daughters" by John Mayer but its a little to adult. Any good ideas?

Our side discussion on movie making served as a good distraction for me.

Hope you are doing well.

Right back at ya'!

Look forward to moving on with you too! You've done some awesome work that needs to be shared!

WHY DO YOU CALL "MY" TIGERS YELLOW? Are you trying to say something indirectly? Why can't they be PURPLE?

You know my FAVORITE color! WHY YELLOW?

I'll be a willing distraction for you again. If I start a Moviemaker thread, will you post to it? What forum should we use? OT? I'll link it here when I start it.

Maybe we can find 22Dev again.....Hey Dev...you out there? Heck, Pep might even be back. She's a movie maker, too but she uses i-movie by Apple. I'd love to know the differences.

Things are going. I'm in month 10 of 24 of the average recovery, so I still have some mountains to climb. I'll keep you posted.

Rin - both our Tigers have Purple so we have to use the other color to distinguish them. Yellow for you, Orange for me.

Jim - glad things are progressing. I hope the holidays are much better this year for you two. Please keep us updated.

Ace - I am in on some movie making. Just say the word.

Bugs - glad to see you are still doing Mah-Ve-Lous

SO things are still holding steady for me. We spent some time with my parents this weekend (that's a whole other long story). I have to say I am quite disappointed in WW's keeping in touch with the kids. It's really sad, but is not to be unexpected I guess.

I can only assume she has agreed to the proposal I sent to her regarding spending time with the kids over Christmas. We followed the proposal for Thanksgiving so I can only assume that we will follow it for Christmas. I actually need to make an adjustment to it so I guess I will just send that along to her.

Someone sent me this link recently:

Having been a single father for about a year now I can soooo identify with this

Hope everyone has an awesome day and an awesome week.

LOL...Okay, that makes me feel better...needed a little explanation...was hoping that you weren't trying to "say" anything...

You know me, old habits die hard....reading b/t the lines...once upon a time it was survival and I have to remember I don't NEED it anymore! LOL...

Things are progressing regarding settlement. I have dragged this thing out as long as I can - I have the best custody I could have now (nearly sole custody). Everything else is financial and property related. I met with my attorney last Thursday and we will give a response to WW's proposal.

Plan B is working, she cannot stand that I do not communicate with her, she claims that becuase I do not talk to her on the phone that the kids also do not want to talk to her on the phone. Since her financial situation is bad she wanted to be able to visit with the kids in our home. Lots of fogginess - no way to I believe that or agree with that. Nice try. Do not pass Go.......

So the kids got home today from visiting with WW since last Wednesday (really generous of me considering what she did to me last year) and we just kinda wasted the day away doing nothing. We had dinner then had our Christmas time together. Sadly, they have no gifts for me but I did not expect anything since this is exactly the same thing that has happened through the year for most holidays and my birthday.

DS6 said "Daddy I have something for you since you don't have any presents under the tree." Love his heart. He had made something at school and put it in a Christmas bag and covered it with scraps of wrapping paper.

Well, come to find out that "Santa came early at Grammy's house." (WW takes them to Grammy's house when she has her visitation with them.) They did the whole milk and cookies thing and all.

Unbelievable. I could feel my pulse beginning to race when DS6 told me that. Really sad, but I guess should not be unexpected since she has to create a false reality for herself, but what is sad is that she forces it on the kids.

Well, I think I saw a red flash in the sky and heard a clatter out on the lawn. Guess I better get my tail in bed so Santa does not skip my house

Eph,

Good news on the custody for you - - think of that as YOUR early Santa present!!

Drac didn't consult me at all about Santa's delivery either. But, neither did I contact him, so it's all equal there. Yet,,,, I understand your feelings.

Hope you are having a Blessed & Merry Christmas!
