SS reads down the thread, and blushes.

Thinks.....

Doesn't know what to say.

Remembers fathers advice from years ago.
"It's better to keep your mouth shut, and have people think you a fool, than to open your mouth, and remove all doubt."

Decides to come back later, when perhaps......... the topic will have changed.

I will say though, that I care what people are going through, and that prayers continue.

Isn't it about time for you to train a new supervisor?

On the other hand, it's so hard to train a new boss these days.

We haven't heard nearly enough about your daughters trip, and what your son is doing this summer. Or, if the new car is holding up OK, or ..........
Well, you get the picture. Not nearly enough.

And, of course, CC is quiet again. I wonder what she is up to.

I think we have others that need to tell about their trips too.

I can't believe so many people think they can get away with being quiet for so long.

Well, they did shuffle some of his unit to another supervisor and some of hers to him.....but, shucks on it, they did not shuffle me. We are in the midst of budget reduction. Across the state, they are planning on eliminating 2,300 positions. Offered voluntary buy-outs to 12K people. I hope enough take it that we don't have lay offs.

She got in on a Wednesday, slept, on Thursday, we hung out on Friday, and she left for her dad's on Saturday then went to Ohio on Sunday - 1.5 weeks ago. She will be home this weekend. She got hit on by some drunk guys at a hostel, she loves the main cathedral in Mainz, bought lots of candy, and watched a lot of futbol on TV when she wasn't in school.

I do need a fuel filter, a brake job, an alignment, and a new battery before winter (there's a lot of corrosion on the terminals and I never consider that a sign of a lot of life left. haven't seen that in years. I changed the air filter. I have a passenger compartment air filter but I can't find the tool I need to change it. Had to get a new gas cap today because the old one wouldn't pass emissions check.

Does that help you out?

Can't stay long. The natives are restless today and every day.

We had a lovely time at Folsom Aquatic Center yesterday, and all went well except for the moment that Neaksis spotted the Dervish, without his life jacket, in 7' deep water, going from one inflatable ring to the next.

True, the life guard said no life jackets were allowed in the section with the rubber rings, but what she meant was if you don't swim well enough to go without a life jacket, you don't belong in 7' water. All that got through to the little MORON, no offense Dervish, was if you want a ring you must take off your life jacket.

I for one never saw him do it - I was still looking through the life jacket section trying to find him, then checking the kiddie section in case he wandered back over there, and retrieving GP in the process.

Aside from going all weak when I found out where he was, I wasn't actually too worried. The danger of him drowning was almost nonexistant. The whole place, but especially that section of the pool, was crawling with alert lifeguards. If he had gotten into trouble they were watching closely enough to have spotted him and gotten him out immediately. Still had to sit down for a few, though, just on principle.

That water story just gave me shivers Neak. Of course because of Peter and water it is one of my nightmares. I would have gone into hysterics. shocked blush

You can just imagine how hard it is to take Mikey swimming even though in my head I know its safe. Heart just starts pumping away like crazy .... I think the staff at the pools think I am an over protective mum .... in 6 in of water blush

Aussie just loves this poem and as I was thinking of it awhile ago for no particular reason you get to read a bit of it .. crazy

The sons of the prophet were hardy and bold,
And quite unaccustomed to fear,
But the bravest of these was a man, I am told
Named Abdul Abulbul Amir.

This son of the desert, in battle aroused,
Could spit twenty men on his spear.
A terrible creature, both sober and soused
Was Abdul Abulbul Amir.

When they needed a man to encourage the van,
Or to harass the foe from the rear,
Or to storm a redoubt, they had only to shout
For Abdul Abulbul Amir!

and a further 16 verses to go ,,, lol grin

Ok Neak ... now together .... 1 2 3....

It's so war-arm in here
Outside the night is clear
Think I need a walk
Have myself a little talk
Sleep, baby slee-eep
While your mama walks the stree-eet tonight
To think about your daddy, boy

(Oh boy) the mood I'm in
The pain I fee-eel in missin' him
Oh boy (oh boy), I can't explain
He haunts my mind, racks my brain...

I could comb every home, every neighbourhood bar
I would ride every greyhound or railroad car
Just to find him and say
Hey, wherever you are
Come on home, we love you, boy

why is everyone pointing fingers and laughing ??????? confused

we aren't THAT bad are we ??????? confused confused

OH ....... well ..... maybe I should just hum cool

Ohhhhh...

I'm liking that very much. But alas, sonogram says no.

Well, when first is born, they will just have to get back to work again.

I can't be a grandfather forever you know.

Jerry

you will ALWAYS be the grandfather and a Daddy. laugh
My dad just loves his grand kids, he has lots of them too! lol

I mean when I used to turn up with my whole crew and they ran circles around him ..before the oldest grew up and whats with that by the way ... grin.... he always used to just shake his head and moan.. I mean say ... they are just like you sweet pea ... confused I'm sure he means it in the right way. cool

He seems so fond of all the oldest adult ones these days but LUCKILY he has my little bloke and 12 other little ones to ENJOY.
They just ask him WHY questions all the time.

You have so much to look forward to ... laugh
