I ran across these and thought it was worth passing along, in case you haven't seen them before. I've checked the sites and they seem legitimate.

In case you are wondering what to do with your old cell phone(s) - please consider donating them to a soldier. It's a free and convenient way to turn in your used cell phones, in any condition or brand, even if you do not have the batteries any longer.

To request a postage-paid envelope, go to: www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com

Another good organization to help soldiers, or rather, to support the Families of the soldiers, check out: www.operationhomefront.net

Your donations will help support the families of the soldiers that are left behind when our men and women are deployed.

Also, there is:

You can send magazine subscriptions to someone you know or donate as well. I donated to the program in general, and they will use it for one of the nearly 7000 requests for subscriptions.

Cat:

About the cell phones, be sure to eliminate all the info on the cell phone. All the text messages, and the phone books, and pictures. In and OUT boxes.

Just a thought.

Heres another one, that sends shoeboxes to the soldiers.

We collected over 230 locally and 600 within about 75 miles.
They were delivered to the USO at the local USAF base.

They can be contacted here> USO Info

Heres something I found that was interesting: Nancy's Question....

Here's one thats even better: Testimonial
