With 5 days to go before Christmas, surely most of us have either gotten or plan to get our special someone something or another.

I'm getting my boyfriend a limited edition bust of Captain Picard (1 of 1,701; it's not big, but hey!) and a replica of the Master Sword.

And I had to get myself something to commemorate my induction into Trekkiehood...so I got myself this.

One year becomes two, two years becomes five, five becomes ten and before you know it, you've wasted your whole life on a problem you can't solve. That's one way to spend your life. -rwinger

I will not spend my life this way.

DH and I are having severe financial challenges, so we are not buying for each other. however, I am writing him a long letter of love and appreciation. And I am doing some of those "unseen" house things that I know he likes to have done (cleaning out closets, going through stuff to throw away/give away, etc.)

All I want from him are a few good "makeout sessions" while he's out of school (hubba hubba).

I got my wife a professional bra fitting. It was her idea; honestly I'd never have thought of it. Nursing three kids has made some changes to her body. I also got her some nice..err..undergarments.

It was for both of us, but I took her to Charleston with me last weekend for my company Christmas party. We used to live there and she really misses the place and our friends. I set up the sitters and made the travel arrangements. We went to the office party on Friday night, our favorite wings place on Saturday, followed by beachcombing at our favorite beach. It was really cold so we didn't stay long. Then downtown to a nice steak place I found. Sunday we came home. 60 hours out of the house and without the kids was a great treat for us, especially her as she's a SAHM.

I'm also getting her some fleece lined house slippers with hard soles. I have a pair like that and she really likes them.

For stocking stuffers, I have some minor small things from ThinkGeek and some of her favorite candies. If I'd planned better I'd have gotten some maple cream candies, but it's been a crazy few weeks.

I'm cooking hubby a nice dinner - steak, Bernaise sauce, asparagus, and an over easy egg. Also, some nice dessert. I'm also getting him a new Bible and a video game. wink

I think I might buy me a little Santa outfit to wear Xmas eve, too.

Professional bra fitting.....that sounds odd.

I just wish I could buy fun stuff from Victoria Secret for my wife. Sadly, it doesn't fit well.

My gift to DH - An electronic weather station and a copy of James May 'How to land an A330 airbus, and other vital skills for the modern man'. From Santa he is getting a nice bottle of wine and a specialised honey he likes. From DD he is getting masonry drill bits. (He asked for all of these over the last 6 months. I have been writing them down smile )
