In another thread, it was suggested that the video below was Melody Lane personified. (What? No high-piled hair?)

That got me thinking - What would be my "essence" if captured in a clip? It took me three quick seconds to generate an answer, as shown below:

I would ask that each of you consider what captures and depicts your personality, your being, and post it in a note here.

Mel, if you want to suggest another one for yourself, I suppose it would only be fair. But don't try to go all "estrogen" on us and slip in something from Steel Magnolias or some other chick flick, okay?

I was thinking last night I might start saying that to our kids, but then I decided, I better not ... smile

Did you just catch that one, Pep?

Teehee.

They actually showed us that in a mental health care class I was taking.

I came across this clip while looking for something else. It resonated with me as representing the fastest clip and thread poster extant. While she claims to be an engineer from Utah, her true calling obviously lies within the realm of Melvil Dewey's discipline.

The state of inebriation displayed within the clip is NOT to be construed as included in the association with our colleague.

Providing an answer to a question about favorite movies led me to this one. I can't think of a better clip to define the essence of the struggles and triumph of Logan's Run:

Our Logan is not a big spender.
She's much more a fixer and mender.
She's been through a tough fight,
For decency and right!

Found this while looking for another clip....

I wonder if someone could match the Mrs. Cooper character herein displayed
(quick-talking, God-fearing East Texas lady handy with shotguns) with any colleague here?

What does Dr Harley recommend when dating two faced women?
Obviously two faced women can't control their condition so what can be done?
