My Wife is filing for a legal separation now. She will move into OMs house (even if she tells me that he won't be staying there - yeah right).
Some weeks ago we had an angry discussion about blame etc (LBs of course), and she told me that "don't blame my affair for this, you know it (separation) would have happened anyway!!!"
Anyone else who have heard this from your spouses?
scandinavian

My wife basically said that she was committed to the marriage so she wouldn't leave me but needed her "needs" fulfilled so I left her no choice except to have an affair.
So it's my fault.

Scandinavian:
My wife's words exactly: " It wasn't the affair, it would have happened anyway". Do betrayers have a handbook of terminology? Should ad this one to the Famous Quotes thread.
After 2 years of rebuilding W now admits that it was the affair that doomned our marriage, that our marriage problems were 50/50 blame to each of us and that we both share responsibility to make a good relationship.
Not only are betrayers vision or reality blurred but their mental capacity to reason is turned off by their affair. Regaining their vision and reasoning ability takes a long time after ending their addiction.
Have faith and patience.

Good to hear that I'm not alone at getting this phrase straight in my face. I hope she wakes up soon though, even if I'm not too optimistic.

------------------
Scandinavian
