My 12 yearold has been having a lot of trouble. He is the only one of our 3 children that knows about the affair. He is basically insecure and anxious by nature and this has really been hard on him.
He went to a counsellor yesterday and left her office in a real good mood, sat down and did his homework, and didn't even fight with his brother.
I know from experience that this will only be temporary success and his troubles aren't solved, but many times just doing something makes us feel better. I feel he is relieved that he is finally doing something to get help.
Our counselling has somewhat gone by the wayside. We haven't gone in about 3 weeks.
My H has been plagued with one illness after another, I'm sure stress and some depression are major factors.
