Hi beth...
You just can't get rid of me?... huh...
Do you have an attorney yet?
Don't forget....If you need to protect yourself legally (and/or financially)... I usually make the recommendation of finding a good attorney. A good place to start off is at the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Search site. Do a search within your county... look for only "family law" specialists(>80% in divorce/custody/etc.)... make sure they do a lot of "family law committee work"... if they know the judges all the better... You can normally find a few that will give initial counseling free of charge.
USLaw.com (an alternative search site)
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Jim

beth,
Mine is happening fast too. My H moved out the same day I discovered it. Then 2 1/2 months later filed for divorce. He also cleaned out a joint savings account that we had. We've already had a hearing for temporary support and now it seems that things are stalling. We had the hearing a month ago and nothing else has been done. And the last couple of times I've talked to him, he has been civil to me. Who knows what's going on in his twisted little head!
Take care,
Mitzi [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

beth,
I'm in "plan fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants". H doesn't have much contact with the kids. He's seen them 1 time since our hearing in April and talked to them 1 time since then. He just too caught up in all the mess with the OW. Our kids exist at birthdays and holidays. So, I guess you could call it a modified plan B. Actually since he doesn't contact me much, it has made it a lot easier for me. And I dodn't contact him unless it's very important.(our son cut his finger and needed stitches. I called to tell him that. Haven't heard anything since) But he's also an alcoholic and that brings in alot more problems.
I have spent and do spend a lot of time here. It's basically saved my life and my sanity. I know that we cannot work on US, until he hits bottom. I'm just waiting to see what happens. But those first 2 months I was a mess. I got alot of strength almost overnight.
You will be ok.
Take care,
Mitzi [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

bethn-
I'm so sorry you have to go through this. There are so many great people that are going through this very thing, right here on this board.
Take care of yourself. Don't forget to eat and sleep (I know it sounds silly, but you must take care of you).
Get some legal advise, even if you don't want to hire an atty right now. He says he is talking to an atty. He may just be blowing smoke.
Protect yourself, and your children (do you have children?).
Hugs and prayers coming your way.
Gld Bless,
Cheryl
Mitzi- OMG- "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants"!!LOLOLOLOLOLOL. I LOVE IT!!!!
Congrats on the job, btw!
Cheryl
