I know you will all find this hard to believe, but moderator Archuletan has requested a ban on this user/member Ptaah.
I'll have to delete any future posts like this so make your bookmarks now.
I need to get to the store for a pack of gum. Thanks for the helpful hint Chris.

moderator Archuletan has requested a ban on this user/member Ptaah. If Ptaah cannot post, how can we be kept informed of the location of the Mother ship and the time of its return? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <small>[ February 26, 2003, 01:49 AM: Message edited by: Chris (CA123) ]</small>

WHOOPSIE! They're a fixin to cut the Mothership Connection!!! Beam me up, Scottie!! LOLOL, Harold Anybody seen any flyin' saucers lately... Harold And... here's... one by Ray Stevens... I Saw Elvis In A UFO - Ray Stevens... Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk...
This is the evening news. Let's go now to our field reporter Renaldo Riviera.
This is Renaldo Riviera on the banks of the stinky muddy river with Mr. R.V. Frisbee who claims to have witnessed something truly fantastic. Mr. Frisbee could you tell us what you saw.
Yeah, I's just hunkered down over there puttin' a stink wad on my trot line and the short hairs just stood straight out on the back of my neck and I turned around and there's this big orange thing with them purple lights on it come swoopin' over them pine trees and just hoovered over the Winnebago there. Inez run out and throwed a skillet at it and then she scissored and run back in under the hide-a-bed. 'Bout that time a little trap door opened up, little stair steps come down and this little pink baldheaded guy stuck his head out. Now I'd seen that movie "Clost Encounters". I just walked on over there big as Ike and looked up in there and there he was.
There who was?
I saw Elvis in a U.F.O. sittin' there with Howard Hughes I saw Elvis in a U.F.O. Jimmy Hoffa was in there too I saw Elvis in a U.F.O. singing them rhythm and blues And Liberace was there and he had on a pair of Imeldia Marcos shoes
What is that a shootin star streakin' cross the heavens above? No it's a whole lot more than a shootin' star it's a hunka hunka burning love, oooh I saw the Colonel in a U.F.O. had a big smile on his face And then he shook his head, puffed on his cigar and said "I done book "Elvis" out in outer space"
And then those little pink men they all jumped in dancin' up and down the stairs And then they rolled their eyes, began to harmonize and it sounded like the Jordoniares
Bop bop bop bop uh unh huh bop bop bop We got Elvis in a U.F.O. he's too good for the human race We got Elvis in a U.F.O. we're going to keep him out in outer space
They got Elvis in a U.F.O. honey have you heard the news They got Elvis in a U.F.O. just singing them rhythm and blues They got Elvis in a U.F.O.
Spoken And the colonel and Howard Hughes and Jimmy Hoffa even Liberaces up there he ain't never had no hit record honey. I done had more hits than anybody but do I get to go in a U.F.O. Nooo!!! Now is that fair? I'm the king of Rock n Rol! The originator! I started the whole thing baby and I think it's about time I got to go on a U.F.O. You better beam me up Scotty or your little pink baldheaded people done tore it with me. Wow!!!.....Thank you

Okay, the Cosmic storm is over. While I've been around a much shorter time than Ptaah's 732 years, I fail to see how these posts were MB or D/D related (in most part).
Chris, please contact member WAT for mothership information.

Ms. Magnolia - I assume you are a Ms. - I would like to give you two points for humor. I got a chuckle out of the suggestion that WAT be contacted for additional information.

I believe it's currently in geostationary orbit with the Raelian's saucer docked to it - could be a new alliance. Be on the watch for some cloning experiments gone awry - indistinguiWSable from scrambled brains.

Anyone besides me familiar with Douglas Adams' 4-book trilogy that started with "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe"? I think Ptaah may be related to Zaphond Beeblebrocks.

Yes there ar 4 books in the trilogy. I can only name 3 of them. Mr Adams sort of had a cult following and must have gotten hungry so he wrote a fourth book in the trilogy.
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe The Restaurant at the End of the Universe So Long, and Thank You For All the Fish Life, the Universe, and Everything (may be a title?)
I know the first three titles are in the series.
He then wrote a series about a character named Dirk Gently who had a Holistic Detective Agency.
They have no redeeming literary value but they have a cult following.
Hmmm....does that make me a member of a cult? Oh, no, doofus would be a member, too!!!!!!!! emergency, emergency......rescue the princess...repeat, rescue the princess....code blue.....code blue......

Ptaah needs to send us some of that alien technology so we will no longer need botox to look great in our seventh century of living..lol..
Remember the MB posters and our ideas that our WS's were thought to be abducted by aliens and had their brains scrambled?
I think Ptaah may be one of Darth's former females who subsequently had her entire brain scrambled..And after scrambling her brain placed a microchip inside it so he could further continue his mis-use of the dark side of the force in the universe...Beware Ptaah...Darth knows where you are and can find you via telepathy? ha ha ha ha ha
I never read those books. They sound interesting. Am starting new Patricia Cornwall book about something less cosmic.
Oh no...I feel something -- like I am gonna be sick...bleeeech! I just puked up my microchip. Guess I am no longer under the evil control of the overlord of the empire Darth anymore. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

'Ptaah' sounds like a bad cough or a pitiful expletive. Have you noticed?
Peachy, the guy who wrote the Hitchhiker books was smoking something other than hams and bacon when he wrote the books. It's bizarre, nonsensical stuff. Good fluff. Gotta have good imagination though. Those people who aren't kinda kooky might not like it.
So, you think Kay Scarpetta is a good character? She is Cornwell's isn't she?

Chris....
I got it LOL
Cinderella... 4 books could not be a TRIolgy. I would be a quatolgy or something.
I like Patricia Cornwell too, did anyone find they have a harder time reading books after all this? Maybe my microchip is interferring with my brain waves <small>[ February 28, 2003, 10:33 PM: Message edited by: Lora ]</small>

At various times, in a prior melinnium, I bought numerous Douglas Adams books. The publisher did refer to the 4th book as the 4th book in the trilogy. But only books as strange as these could have a 4 book trilogy.
And I find I have an easier time reading now. It's partially an escape. Like sending my brain on vacation. Then I can cope with my life better.
There is a woman named Diane Mott Davidson who has a series of food/detective mysteries about a woman named Goldy who is a caterer outside Denver. There are recipes in those novels. I tried one cookie recipe- wonderful. It also sounds more fattening than what Kay Scarpetta would cook. Goldy is in to unsalted butter. <small>[ March 01, 2003, 07:52 PM: Message edited by: cinderella ]</small>
