I got this via email today --- and I needed to see it...

Against the storms of life, I feel strong (because I have GOD). I've faced calamity after calamity and survived. I will survive again!

Today I saw something you have probably seen many times - a vibrant, solitary blade of grass standing proud and alert in a crack of a concrete sidewalk. All of the odds were against this blade of grass growing in such an unlikely habitat.

In the same manner, have you not seen a tree growing strong and rugged in a granite cliff? How can this tree survive against all odds and thrive on the side of a stone mountain? Where does it get its water?

If a blade of grass can grow in a concrete walk and a fir tree in the side of a mountain cliff, a human being, empowered with an invincible faith, can survive all odds the world can throw against his tortured soul.

There is an explanation for this marvelous miracle. "God plus one believer is a majority!" With faith in your Lord you can outnumber the enemies that may attack you.

You manage your problems; you don't let them manage you. You choose what kind of attitude you are going to have.

One possibility-thinking believer, plus God, equals survival power!

Dear God, today I imagine my hand with fingers spread wide open. I imagine Your hand approaching mine until our fingers interlock and we grip each other firmly in faith. I will never let You go, and You will never let me go. You are my Lord. We will see through this together. Thank You, God.

So I need never be discouraged.

I'll never let anything get me down.

I am a survivor! Thank You, God!
