and only 8 days ago on my birthday i stated....
"what will this decade bring".

Here i am, 60 years + 8 days and once again God has reached across the heavens and saved me. We have a hereditary type of cancer in our family traceable back four-five generations, Lynch Syndrome. Since my younger brother died at 37, i was to be tested, but of course, never did.

With all this stress, i've developed stomach pain that finally drove me to the doctor who ordered intensive testing with a gastroenterologist. Imagine my feelings when he told me one polyp removed was borderline cancer and had i waited six months, it would've been too late. He ordered blood tests to determine if cancer was anyplace in my body, and thankfully it isn't.

Once more God lifts me up.
Once more He reminds me there's more to live for than I know.
Once more I know He'll hold me in the palm of His hand and never drop me.

I go to Him in peace, and put my husband in His hands.

It's up to God to help us.

Thanks Ammon for listening.

Simmy

Simmy --

I am so very happy about your wonderful news and immensely relieved for you that you have survived yet another ordeal! Thank you for sharing it with me and with all of us.

I believe you are very wise to have such a strong faith as well as the certain knowledge that there are more than a few things in life which are best "given up" and released, voluntarily and healthily, to be worked through and repaired in their own time.

I read recently that "too many people offer God prayers with claw marks all over them." We all have at one time or another, in pain and in desperation, but your approach is the best one: go to Him in peace.

Thanks for writing and for the headline. Hang in there, Simmy,

Ammon
