I know my troubles are small compared to others here but I’m feeling really scared for my W today.
She went to the doctors for a routine check up last week and the doctor found something that looked suspicious in the same area from which she had a cancerous tumor removed and was subjected to radiation therapy many years ago. The specialist performed a biopsy today and now all that we can do is wait for the results in a week.
I know that I am being selfish but I don’t even want to think about losing her especially after all the pain we have gone through in the past year and a half. I love her so much.
She feels that God is punishing her again. (She told me after D-day that she believed that her first bout with cancer was punishment for having OC. He was only a baby then). I don't subscribe to that kind of thinking but she is entitled to it.
She doesn’t want me to tell the kids or anyone else for that matter and I will comply unless the biopsy comes back positive. I want her to be surrounded by as many friends as possible if that is the case and I feel that it is my duty to tell the children and allow them to make their own decisions then as to whether to contact her or not. As I have said before she is a very private person who doesn’t want to garner sympathy as a result of this.
I guess what I am asking is will anyone help me pray for her since I don’t think my connection with “The Big Guy” is as close as it could be. We need all the help we can get.
Thank You all and God Bless
Usedlongago

Dear God,
We come to you and ask for your mercy and wisdom in this situation. We ask for your forgiveness for not putting you first in our lives and we thank you for helping us and understanding us. We lift up ULA's wife and we pray that your love and your Spirit would surround and comfort her like a blanket. We pray that there would only be love and compassion from her children during this difficult time. We pray that she could find forgiveness in her heart for herself and her mistakes. Lord, we have all failed you in many ways and you knew we would and that is why you provided a Savior for us and we thank you. Please help ULA not to be afraid and to get his strength from you during this time of waiting for the doctor's report. We thank you that you have the last word and your word is Good News.
Psalm 103
"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all our iniquities; who heals all our diseases. Who redeems our lives from destruction and crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfies our mouths with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy....
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear him..."
