My spouse has lost love for me and is now questioning her gender preference. She has never been with another women, but age, depression, me, life's pressure, etc. are confusing her. I love her dearly. Has anyone experienced this?

Bruisebrain, I have not experienced this. However I will tell you that love is a choice. Love is also an action word. Something that you actually have to work at. That being said try and talk about how you all first fell in love and maybe this will rekindle some feeling. Talk about the things you each did to express love to each other and also what the other spouse did that expressed love in great ways to you. People in life always go through different changes. My best advice would be to try and remain supportive and not ndeming of her actions or feelings. Supporting her in this difficult time will help her turn around.

I am a woman who has been struggling with the same issues as your wife. I had an affair and I am now 3 months in to recovery with my husband. Now more than ever, your wife needs your love and support. Listen to her and love her. Be thankful she is sharing this with you before she acts on it. The emotional attachment between two women can be so strong. Your words sound so much like my husband. He has not turned his back on me. Through all of his pain, he is still here and we are working on things. I love him and can't believe how fortunate I am to have him here. Things will work out for you. Let your wife know you appreciate her honesty and work hard to let her know her value. Don't know if I helped any. This is my first time to reply but, couldn't pass it up after I read it. Good luck to you!!

No, I haven't--but according to what Oprah was talking about the other day it's more common than people realize these days-- <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
Why not post over the EN thread--I think there are a few folks over there who have experienced this--
