The party was a blast! We had a house FULL of guests. The kids ruled. They ran in. They ran out. They ran around. They ran through. They ran ME up the wall! You know what? I wouldn’t change one single moment. We played games, gave out prizes, and beat up the pinatas with a stick bigger than Jonas. There wasn’t enough food left for even one plate of leftovers, so I guess it was good. It’s hard to believe they ate so much. These people gorged themselves, and then took some home for later. It was the typical fair: carne asada, refried beans, spanish rice, tortillas, fresh salsa and guacamole. For the kids, we ordered pizzas. I thought Jonas would get pooped about halfway through….nope. This boy was wired. He got a hold of mommy’s Frappucino. By the time I noticed, he had already finished half of it and was wearing the rest….it was a mess! Now I can truly call him my little mocha baby. His kisses never tasted better, although I’m not real big on wearing my drinks.

So, we made it through the tons of candy, the cake and ice cream, and finally got to the presents. I was excited and raring to go. But not Little Man. Oh no, not him. All the bright wrapping paper and eye-catching gift boxes, and this boy wanted no part of it. He was too engrossed with the figurines off his birthday cake. For the last 2 days, he has slept, played and ate the Monsters Inc toys off his cake. I cannot pry them out of his fingers. So the many wonderful toys he got, sit in a corner of the house, waiting to be acknowledged and played with.

At the end of the day, but still evening, I asked him if it was mimi-time (bedtime). He wearily shook his head yes and went off to bed. No fussing, no crying, just blissful, much needed sleep….at least for him. I still had A LOT of cleaning to do. So I wiped, and I swept, and I picked up, and I cleaned, and I cleaned, and I cleaned, and…. Thank God birthdays only come once a year! It will take me that long to recover.

Hey, OB1, shoulda had some wine.

So happy to hear Jonas had a great day. It sounded like a lot of fun. Made me hungry for Mexican food. Hmmmm....Monsters, Inc? So that's the new hot thing this year.

Get some rest, OB1, next year is already on it's way.

Did the little guy break a pinata? My sister had those a few years ago at my neices' party. Those kids were beating them to death and couldn't break em.

Glad all went well with your mocha guy.

God Bless.
Love
Debi

Hey Ohbratti, I do not remember getting an invitation to this event. Oh well, I suppose the US postal system is not what it used to be.

Sounds like the birthday boy had a wonderful time. Glad to hear it.

with love,
Nosetta

Ah, my sparkling Gem. Who said I DIDN'T have some wine? Girl, I whined about this, and I whined about that. The food was not hot enough, the soda/beer was not cold enough. It was too windy. My decorations were falling. The balloons were popping. Whine, whine, whine. BF finally gave me a good shake and said "Babe, it's PERFECT! Little Man will love his party, no matter what.", and he did.

What a fun party. I wish I was one of the adults there, the menu sounded wonderful. Sounds like my Thanksgiving menu:)

Happy Belated Birthday to Jonas.
