Dear MB Colleagues,
I opened up a post office box today under the name of "MB Fund". The total cost was $31 ($29. for 6 months + $2. for two keys). (That will be part of my gift to Twiisty -- so there will be no need to deduct the opening expense from the fund)
Anyone who would like to send a contribution, regardless of amount, please send it to:
MB Fund P. O. Box 133 Peter Stuyvesant Station New York, NY 10009 For those who are reading this post for the first time, some concerned and caring people on MarriageBuilders suggested establishing a fund from voluntary contributions to help forum members with special needs.
Our good friend, Twiisty, is the first recipient from the fund. We are all delighted that we can be of assistance until she is able to get on her feet again. After we see how the fund develops, we can decide on future uses for the funds.
To preserve anonymity, some members are sending cash (wrapped in a piece of paper), others are sending money orders (left blank) which can be filled out by Twiisty. Postal money orders are recommended, but any will do.
The amount of the contribution does not matter. Send whatever you can afford. It is the thought that counts and every little bit helps.
Please make sure that you put your MB name in the envelope so that I can list your contribution. In ten days, I will send whatever is collected to Twiisty and will post updates on MB so that you know how the donations are going.
If there are any questions, please feel free to bring them up. But please, no comments about whether the fund is appropriate or not -- we have decided to do this and we need good karma at this point <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="images/icons/cool.gif" />
