This is very OT, but any S. Texas MBers that have been thinking of adopting a doggy: The Aransas Co. Animal control unit rescued 49 daschaunds this Tuesday past. There are all shapes, colors and sizes (many overweight - the breeder was feeding them table scraps - they look like little, fat sausages). Most had their shots, and many are already tutored....I mean neutered. Their ears are clean, their coats are oh-so-silky, and their teeth look good.

I've adopted one little Princess (that's her name), who has already commandeered my lap as her very own. I wish I could've taken more than one...

Since it's so recent, they've not gotten the pics up, but here is the site for AC:

Man, I wish I was able to take on another doggie. I've currently got a cute little doxy myself. I'm not really south Texas either, more central.

I hope they all find good homes!

Have you called a resue? Go to petfinder.org Punch in Daschaunds for the breed and you should get a list of dogs up for adoption along with a resue program. The program most likely will take majority of the dogs if not all of them.
Or go on line and punch up Daschaunds rescue.

They're great little dogs aren't they? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
Let me know if I can help you in any other way.

GOOD NEWS! Got off the phone with the doggy jail and they only have 15 of Princess' bros and sis' left!

And I found an animal rescue here that can take two more off their hands!

YEA!

Daschahunds under the Christmas trees!
