I had my ultrasound today. We are the proud parents of a little baby boy. We wanted a girl but the moment I saw that little baby on the screen, I could have cared less what it was!

When I was pg with #2, my ds, who was in kinder at the time asked how the doc knows it's a boy or girl. Not wanting to get into specifics, I told him that on boys the timer pops out (like on the Thanksgiving turkey). Girls don't have a timer.

(hehe) Guess his timer popped out, huh?

I usually don't post over on this board because I'd be completely stupid to try to offer up anything. I comment everyone on this board, for strength that inspires me. I do read the board a lot though.

I don't know if this counts for anything, but it's very clear to ME..why your H is staying with you. Throughout this whole ordeal, you've dealt with this situation was such poise and grace, that I'm almost in awe of you. You're SO young, but have such a level head on your shoulders. While the OW continues to become more and more of a pain in the butt. Stand back quietly, BESIDE your H...and watch her work. She'll become a raging lunatic in the next couple days...especially home with a new baby.

Keep yourself together, support your H...and let him know that you're giving this all you got..that she is not going to stress out YOUR baby with her stupid antics.

Those dates in your sig line are SO close.... have you wondered if your H wants to see the baby to see if it looks like him at all ??? My gut tells me there is a piece of him that wants to take a look at that kid and have some type of feeling that NO...not his.

I hope she's wrong..I hope it's NOT your H...but either way..I know you'll handle this. You've done a brilliant job so far.

I absolutely LOVE that name..........& I hope you're not offended but it would be nice for a girl too.........w/ a 'K' (of course <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> & middle name Marie, nick name 'kd'). PS: do you have a middle name in mind? IF you are having trouble thinking of one.....you can go online to look up name meanings & maybe find a meaning you like & then choose a name that means that. I remember I could even look up names by culture as well.

I LOVE the true meanings of names & that is how we chose the names of our last 2....@least their first names.

PPS: I think I'm getting baby fever!

But it's ok, I know the cure for that..............just a peek into the hamper to remind me of ALL the laundry I already have to do daily! LOL

Thanks everyone. We haven't picked out a middle name yet. We were going to use Michael after my H but he didn't like that idea. So we are still thinking. I loaned my name book out to another girl so hopefully she brings it. And no, I'm not offended by it being a girls name too. I thought of Kayden for a girl too but I really liked Cayden for a boy. My H didn't like Skylar so its Cayden.
Betrayed...as for the closeness of the OC and my little one, it concerns me a little bit. My H is seeing the OC today for the first time. I do hope it isn't his but I'm not crossing my fingers because she says it looks just like him. But you know, after I saw my little Cayden, I didn't care about that situation. It bothers me but I have SUCH a special gift coming that it MEASURES much higher then that. We will be having OC in 6 weeks here in our home so I will have to prepare for that. I do appreciate your comments though. I'm trying to handle the situation so I am the BIGGER person in the situation. It doesn't make any sense to become a crazy raving cow or something does it!!! I'll leave that to her.......hehehehe.....well I'm late for work, but I hope EVERYONE has a great day!!!!!

Congrats, Hurt! Babies are so much fun...mine is now 5 months old and I seemed to have forgotten how sweet and cute they can be! My next youngest is 12 so it's been a while for me! Love the name Cayden. Very different. If you don't mind me asking (not sure if you've posted somewhere else), what was the sex of OC? In my situation I was the lucky one b/c H and I have 2 boys and we finally got our miracle girl. We werent planning on having more children but a blessing was given to us and we love her to pieces. Our OC is a boy. I would've died had XOW been pregnant with the girl and me with the boy because H really wanted a daughter, but in my situation God worked in mysterious and wonderful ways for me!!

Well, I ddi not get so lucky. My H has 3 boys and his OC turned out to be a girl. Which a girl is what My H has always wanted and looke how he got it. I was DeVISTATED! <img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" /> But I have to leave it all in GODS hands. I am doing mucgh better now. Me and H are going to try to get pregnant in the very near future. Maybe I will get lucky and GOD will bless me with a girl as well. But, if not this time then maybe next time. All i can do/all anyone can do is pray and leave EVERYTHING to GOD!!!!

Boys are AWESOME!!

It's funny because I thought with my second, I'd just die if I didn't have a girl, and as it turned out, another boy was just perfect for me! I've actually lost my desire for a girl, and when I have my next (and last) in a couple of years, I'll be hoping against hope it IS another boy!! LOL! Funny how you change your mind about things...

Of course, just because I want a boy, next time it will probably be a girl!!

Lonely, sorry to hear about that but hopefully you will have a girl at the next go around! There are drawbacks to my situation, simply because my H is an avid sports freak and has coached our boys in everything so a part of me is a bit jealous that OC is a boy because I see how my H interacts w/our boys, and for a split second i thought that maybe H and I should have another in the next couple of years and I'd hope for a boy but I realize that "my" kids can't just take the place of the OC, or vice versa, and that it's just one of those things I'm going to have to deal with. And besides, H got wise and got snipped snipped a couple of weeks ago so no more babies for anybody by him!!!

No i completely understand that even if i get pg it and it is a girl it will not take the place of OC but I will finally have been able to give him somethign myslef that he has always watned. Part of me feels like if i cant give him a girl, then i will be cheated. I should not feel like that but i do. YOu should see thej way his family treats OC completely different than my when i had my son (maybe I am over analyzing this) but its OC this and OC that and SHE is just and ANGEL and SHE this and H DAUGHTER THIS. Sometimes I just sick of hearing it, since we have no contact right now, you kow. Part of me wonders if I have a girl, will they treat her like they do OC? But the other part of me DOES NOT CARE about his family, they are not me or H and they have no say in our life, so let them do what they want to do. I am young, I jsut turned 26 in Oct. SO I want atleast 2-3 more. H wants that many more too so we will see.

Lonely, you are still young so I hope you get everything you want and deserve!! I'm fairly young too, 31, but got started at a very early age (had first son at age 15 and second at age 19) but now I'm with the older bunch with a brand new baby in my thirties. It's so odd because I've always been the youngest parent in my boys' classes but with the daughter I'll be one of the oldest. See i had my first at 20. He will be 6 this year sot its time. I just would like to have 2-3 more kids in the next 5 years. By the time I am 30-32 I wouldlike to be DONE!!! I dont want to be 36 having kids BUT THAT IS JUST ME. BUT THAT IS JUST ME
