Has or does anyone work in a dental office and see the things that go on. I have observed somethings and heard many more. Just interested how common this is in this field of work. Thanks,

If I were the wife I would greatly appreciate being told. I think most employees are afraid to tell for fear of losing their job, but usually the wife has an idea but needs it validated and can stipulate that the employee stays. Thanks,Sheila
I worked at an answering service for quite a long time. The majority of our clients was basically the entire medical community in my county. I can't tell you how many times a doctor got caught after hours by his W with either the office manager or nurse. Then there were plenty of office managers who were the fiancee/new wife of many of the newly divorced doctors. It's disgusting.
One of the founders of the pediatric practice my children go to is one of those "busted" doctors. They are the best in the area, but I was rather annoyed when he ended up being the attending ped. at my last c-section. I was hoping for one of the other partners. He's a great doctor, but in my drug-induced state, it was all I could do to keep from saying "so did your wife divorce you after she caught you with Debbie?"

I have worked in dentistry for 11 years. I was actually fired from one office due to my disinterest in doing the boss. He said I was fired due to my unreliability. I sued, I won. It's sad, it goes on, ALOT. I'm actually very fortunate to be working in a new office since then, and not only is it a wonderful working enviroment, but my boss is a true gentleman.

Thanks for all the replies. Do you think this is more prevalent in dental offices? In the operatories the Dr. and assistant work literally very close and I have even witnessed footsie play under the patients. head.
