Re: Recovery Success armymama 6 hours ago
I'm not sure who still appears here once in a while that might remember me. Shortly after our trips in 2023, we sold one of our places and moved full time to FL. A few weeks later, my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer. I thought that our real reason for selling our NY place was to be close to her. Then, four months later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. There was plenty of discussion about a treatment plan for me, etc. Finally, my oncologist said that if I was his mom this is what we would do. And I said fine, let's do that. This made 2024 a pretty rough year. H took the BEST care of me. He did everything, drove me to appointments, did the shopping, the cleaning, helped me after the 22 weeks of chemo, then a double mastectomy and 16 rounds of radiation. Sometimes, I think about what would have happened if we had packed it in 17 years ago. Those first couple of years were really tough. But now, we enjoy each other's company. We are live pretty close to our three kids and their families. We go to church together and sing in the choir and H's favorite song is "It's Well with My Soul". I don't think we would have gotten anywhere without Marriage Builders. Forever grateful!
