Howdy to any and all,
Well, my next appointment with Steve is on Monday... but I already know the discussion, topics and outcome, more or less. We've been talking about Plan B for a while now, it's been 8 months of Plan A, and although some progress has been made - the A might even be over - WW is still wandering in the fog.
So... I think I'm close to finding my own place, here. It's a furnished cottage with a simply beautiful small yard. The owner is a landscaper - nice! I see myself sliding on over there shortly, as I become added to the list of Plan B'ers.
Still something about that that isn't quite real to me. But whereas I think WW paniced when she was faced with separating from me, I'm calm and determined. I need to hear some words from her that indicate something different than I've heard to date. I'm not trying to force them out of her... but as we all know, that's not what Plan B is for. It's waiting out the A's death - or the M's death, depending on how long it goes on.
Just thought I'd mention this... seems like kind of a big deal or something... seems like some action to me. I know my fence sitting cake eater of a wife is paralyzed - by her own admission. This is necessary.
(Sad part is, I think she'd love this place - loves gardens - and this place is a little slice of garden paradise!)

Your WW didn't think that she would ever loose you and now that you are showing her that your backing your words with deeds, she is starting to realize that the unthinkable is very much possible and the more time goes by, the less chance she will have to come back to you and rebuild the M.
I'm glad that you are calm and determined. You might say that some of your emotional circuits have been shorted and she can't push the same buttons to get the usual response from you. She reminds me of one of those experiments where a chimp has been trained to push certain buttons to get a banana, and now she is pushing and pushing but no banana comes out
Joe

J.R. - well, I'm not surprised to read yet another example of very rational thinking from you.
Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be the best decision for you based on what you know at the moment.
My main recommendation - and one I'm sure you realize - is to make your decision based on what's best for you. I don't know of any Plan B'er who didn't agonize at length over the decision. Some "relapsed" in short order, but most regret not doing it sooner.
Otherwise, please don't dwell on thoughts like this: "(Sad part is, I think she'd love this place - loves gardens - and this place is a little slice of garden paradise!)" Sure, it's normal to think of things like this and we may have these fleeting thoughts for the rest of our lives. But let's try to keep these "fleeting."
WAT
