WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEKEND I HAD...!!!
Thought I would do a little compare/contrast for those newbies feeling down.
First read:
This same weekend LAST year
Now read--
This weekend:
Our church had parents' night out... so we took advantage of it. I was kinda hoping he would plan something, but I didn't pressure. We had nothing planned as we dropped off kids and I was anxious.
pre-AI would have pouted and been put out... probably would have said something angry about him not caring enough to
plan something. I have learned that w/out expectations, I usually have a great time... so I just 'expected' to enjoy my time with him.
We figured out which movie to see. Some dissention over when... where... but again... I was determined to enjoy and let the details work themselves out... and they did. We ate some fast food before the movie... NO ONE WAS IN THE ARBY'S so it was quiet and we enjoyed some conversation... I kept conversation fun and light... NOTHING ABOUT RELATIONSHIP, MARRIAGE OR AFFAIRS!! (or kids ...)
We got into the movie and there was NO ONE ELSE IN THE THEATRE! (is God great!!! or what?) Stayed that way the whole movie... a private showing of
High Crimes. We sat really close... held hands... talked and laughed through the whole movie.
It was such a nice time.
Then... took the kids out to dessert after we picked them up from church... went home...
And the best part...
MY H "WOKE ME UP" by making love to me... this was IT... the real deal... and for those of you following my kissing saga... it was WITH LOTS OF KISSING...
So Sunday, I woke up... put together his favorite breakfast casserole... layed out the boys Sunday clothes... and went upstairs... he was already about to get up and asked me what I was doing... I told him what I had done and then said, "and I was coming up here to kiss you awake..." so he laid down and pretended to be asleep... and.... 2. Focus on YOU.
3. Give up EXPECTATIONS.
4. Have FAITH.
