Hi you two, I posted this on the other thread. Didn't know if you would return to it, so I posted here. BTW, I live in the West Texas oil patch, proud home of Pres. G.W. and Laura Bush.
_________________________________________________ BetrayedAgain and getting better,
I'm trying not to get too excited here. I was born in San Antonio; Dad was in the Air Force (actually Army Air Corps, WWII). Mom and Dad were married there. Of course, I'm WAY older than you "kids."
quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello family in Bay City, Lufkin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Houston, Victoria, Sweeney, San Antonio, Old Gulf, Matagorda, The Woodlands!!!!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Betrayed Again, wow. My ancestors came to Matagorda from England right before the Texas Revolution. Later, they and others built a big hotel in the middle of the Gulf plains and 7 families moved in. The town that grew up there was Bay City. One of the streets in Bay City is named after my grandmother. My grandparents are buried there. I lived in Corpus Christi three different times as a child. My sister was born there. Mom and Dad lived the last twenty years of their lives in Conroe just north of The Woodlands. Small world! I consider myself of South Texas/Gulf Coast girls. Remember the Alamo.
Estes
[ May 24, 2002: Message edited by: Estes49 ]

Also,
My mom was born in Matagorda and raised in Bay City. She was 17 when she married my dad. Mom graduated from Bay City in 1945 and her and dad married there 6/3/45. My aunt Lydia was a beauty queen. There were 5 girls and one boy. My mom's only brother (baby of all them) was 17 months old when mom and dad married.
Uncle Will be watching for you!
[ May 24, 2002: Message edited by: BetrayedAgain ]

Hello BA,
I am at work clearing records, storing stuff for the summer. I will be back online this evening.
Would you like to email me since we are mentioning family names and other things that may reveal more that you want to when all the world is reading? ( Hi, World! )
Later, Estes
[ May 25, 2002: Message edited by: Estes49 ]

Hi BA,
You have some interesting family names, especially the one with no vowels.
My family names are .... The town of Sargent which is close to Bay City is named for that part of the family. My greatuncle was a dentist in BC.
Did you ever know of a family named Renfro? Years ago he was principal of BCHS. Their D was one of my best friends.
I've been following your other thread. The fog is so powerful, the capacity for self-delusion so strong, that even an honest relatioship with God goes out the window during the heat of an A. My DIL told her priest that, "God was bringing new people into her life," and she was called to move to (new state). She sat with OP in his church ( ) and told him in emails that, "God is so good!" ...which of course He is, but...
We know that God's grace is never-ending and OP's actions will be forgiven when they repent. Let's pray that this is what will happen with them.
Estes
[ May 27, 2002: Message edited by: Estes49 ]

Hi Mike,
Certainly you can email me. I have learned a lot about the dynamics of infidelity by trying to understand my DIL and support my son through his ordeal. I have not suffered first hand like you have, but I am a good listener.
I am sure your trip to Ground Zero was moving. It took me a good 6 months to come out of my depression after September 11. The timing of your trip was appropriate with this being Memorial Day.
Estes
[ May 27, 2002: Message edited by: Estes49 ]
