Hit another wall Monday night. In distress Tuesday. Didn't really post about what happened as I was going to unload on therapist. Therapist cancelled appointment.
Another example of nowhere else to go but God. When will I learn to go to Him first?
Put my distress in His hands. Asked him to just continue to work the miracles I have seen the last year.
This is what I got:
1. H got dinner together and fed kids while I napped. 2. H came to bed WITH me and it was EARLY WITHOUT me asking. 3. H came to work unexpectedly today... just to talk. 4. H called me at work... again... no REAL reason. 5. On the way to church, I spoke of headache that won't go away (3 days and counting--allergies/tension/stress)... H said, "since WE LOVE mommy, we'll let her slide w/ that excuse." Yep... WE... his backwards way of saying I love you? 6. We met with Pastor regarding church membership. H invites Christ to be his Savior. The whole thing about being a sinner and asking for forgiveness etc., etc.
WE will be baptized sometime in June--a family event as his sister has also committed her life to Christ.
I just gotta say to you fence sitting Christians, get off the fence. Let God work in your life. Let Him be the Lord of your life. See the miracles only He can do. You won't be sorry.
Hugs to all, Cali

Ok well, I'm the newbie here.. as new as yesterday or I should say early this morning.. God led me to this site and kept me on it until 3am.. It's 9 am here in Germany now and I didn't even get dressed before I started the PC up to get back to this site.. on my 3rd cup of coffee and have read, and read and read... Cali, You are an incredible woman. I don't know you but can feel your strength and self confidence from here. My H actually told me that he loved me, but because I was the mother of his children and that he wasn't "in love" with me. Of course he told me this AFTER I caught him the first time and so my remark to that comment was: I'm sooooo glad I could be the perfect nanny for you for all these years and I guess sex was just a perk for me huh? Needless to say, it's been a veryyyy long year for everyone. I "say" that I am in recovery because I have dealt with this affair alone and have started rebuilding my future with my H. I always considered myself to be a "strong" woman... but he wore me down.. and I am beginning to get my strength back once again and rebuild what my H tore down.. Oh and yes, he is remoresful and I too have felt that "kiss" you described... didn't for a long time but when I got it, he made me just want to "melt"... I'll never really trust him again and nor will I ever love him totally and completely like I once did.. but, with the leftovers the OW gave me, I will just have to rebuild my H. You gave me inspiration that there is hope.
God Bless & may you get lots and lots of those "kisses"
Robin

hahaha... Cali... today's thought for the day on my e-mail today: (I subscribe to these daily thoughts designed for recovering alcoholics and co-dependents)
Today's thought is: How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then rest afterward. -Spanish proverb
The beauty of the Third Step is that there's no real work for us to do. Making a decision to turn our will and our life over to the care of God requires no energy, no movement. We don't have to grit our teeth. It's only a decision and can be made in the blink of an eye. The action comes from God.
We don't need to do anything to earn the grace of God. In fact, there isn't any way we could earn it. This grace is ours when we let it come to us. Trusting God's love for us is all it takes.
I will rest knowing that my life is in God's hands.
[ May 30, 2002: Message edited by: Faith1 ]

Cali-
You are an inspiration to me - Thank you! A few weeks ago I was talking to a girlfriend of mine and she said "Llama, has God ever let you down? Hasn't he always looked out for you?" I said "Yes, he has....you're right! He has always looked out for me and kept me out of harm's way!"
Then in my car I was listening to one of my favorite Celine Dion songs (I only listen to a few on this particular CD). And, when my favorite song was over I didn't stop the CD or replay it...this song came on....it's all about giving it over to God and letting HIM take care of it.
I hope you enjoy it and if you can locate the song to hear, it's on the CD "Falling Into You" song 13. Enjoy!
Hugs, Llama
"Call the MAN, HE's Needed Here"
Close the door Shut the world away All the fight's gone from this wounded heart Across the floor Dreams and shadows play Like wind blown refugees Call the man Who deals in love beyond repair He can heal the world Of hearts in need of care Shine a light ahead When the next step is unclear Call the man He's needed here
I close my eyes I remember when Your sweet love filled this empty room The tears I cry Won't bring it back again Unless the lonely star should fall Call the man Who deals in love beyond repair He can heal the world Of hearts in need of care Shine a light ahead When the next step is unclear Call the man He's needed here
Needed in the chaos and confusion From the plains to city hall Needed where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall Call the man Who deals in once upon a time Maybe he Can mend this broken heart of mine Shine a light ahead Now the future isn't clear Call the man He's needed here Call the man He's needed here

Cali,
Why is it that we all always try to fix our own problems and concerns? The Lord is the only one with the game plan. Human nature, I guess.
Glad that things are falling into place for your family and that you were able to have the patience to wait for the mircles.
Take care, Dawn

There couldn't be any better news than that!
When you see Potter's Field this weekend it will cement it all for H even more with their extraordinary moving presentation! You are both in for a treat. Let me know how you liked it.
God is good!

Cali?!?!
GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!! I'm awestricken!
What terrific news... Wow... I'm so happy for you. Your prayers are being answered. What a major miracle. Now, God can finish what HE started in your H and you can keep working your personal Plan to recover. GO GOD!!!!!!
What a journey this past year has been for you with quite a bit of ups and downs and twisty turns. My goodness! What a testimony.
I noticed each time you made a conscious effort to give it to Him, there has been a reward, you know, an answer of some sort or a miracle waiting for you. How incredible is God's love toward you, his precious daughter. I'm elated! I share your joy! May it continue to improve as you keep giving it to Him. You are at a new level. New level, new devil... God didn't promise us a bed of roses, but on the contrary (persecution for His name's sake). Just keep giving your trials to Him and He'll continue to take care of everything--just like He has for you in the past.
WOW!!!!!!!! I'm SO GLAD I peeked in here!!! YES I BELIEVE!
thank you mthrr for sharing The Pottersfield Ministries w/ me.
H hasn't shared much to me, but I have heard him share to others about it, so I know he was affected.
I think his recieving Christ before we went was so fortunate. His heart was open to hear the Potter's message in a way that it would not have been before.
We have a long road ahead of us, but as BTDT has noted God is truly there for us and I HAVE TO BELIEVE.
One interesting thing, I no longer 'worry' about OW and if my H will renew anything with her. I'm trusting God to work in his life and it's a great feeling.
Those of you who have been with me through this whole year know what a true miracle it is.
Thank you all for being here for me (& Efft).
Cali

I'm so glad you and H got to see it! God has been sooooo very faithful in continuing to restore H and I individually and our marriage since we both gave our lives to Him.
Trust in Him always. Give Him His due praise daily and you will be continually amazed at how things will continue to change in a postive way!
Praying for many blessings for your marriage and restoration for all the hurting marriages here at MB!
