Well....WW been separated from me for 6 weeks now. I have been trying to implement Plan A as best as I can. I typically have not initiated any contact with her, other than 1 or 2 times at the most, and this only because I could find a reason, and while she was home with parents. I have been letting her initiate contact. Now....Haven't spoken to her in about 3 days or so. So....I called her at work, (she answers the phone, or I wouldn't have done it. I am sure that some of her co-workers know, and if she wasn't the one to answer, I wouldn't want to "stir" any discussion where she works), and just nicely told her that I missed hearing from her the last few days, hoped her day was going well, and really just wanted to tell her that I was thinking of her.
Was that move against Plan A? Is that being "needy"? Since I had RARELY initiated contact over the past 6 weeks, knowing my WW, she could have been misinterpreting my actions as not really caring. I thought this "little" action may "stop" her thinking in a certain direction, if she was headed that way.
Opinions, please. Or...was that, in fact, a "No-No"?
HCII

If you are in Plan A, you are trying to meet your wife's emotional needs if possible.
If contacting her makes her feel loved, then by all means, do so. I think your approach is fine.

BrambleRose,
Thanks for the encouragement. It didn't seem to be a LB'er. Even before I found out about the A, and our separation, she would cut me short when I called sometimes. Said she was very busy. (She probably was) I was expecting her to cut me short this time, but to my surprise she didn't.
I asked in that conversation if maybe we could get together and just chat. She said she would think about it. Well, late last night, she called and told me that she would be out on her patio if I wanted to come over and talk a while. Surprised me after how "cold" she has been lately.
In one of my other posts,I had mentioned how she had happened into a public place where I was a few days ago, and didn't even acknowledge me! Talk about cold! She had brought something up while talking last night, and had mentioned how we had really been "honest" since our separation, meaning details of her A and such. So....I didn't want to LB, but thought that she should know how I felt about the "cold shoulder" treatment she had given me in public. In essence, here is what I said to her:
"<WW>, I have done a lot of things in our marriage that I shouldn't have done, and also a lot of things that I probably neglected to do. I realize that I have hurt you in a lot of ways that I never realized. But....I have never treated you like a stranger. It hurt me when you treated me like one." She apologized for that, and said she really wasn't thinking. I responded by telling her that I may have read a little more into it than I should have also, considering our situation.
Anyway, we had a nice conversation, all in all. I don't think I LB'ed anywhere.
FWIW, I started this topic yesterday, and Faith1 and someone else responded, but it is not showing up on the topic list with the correct topic title. It is under another topic "When does the Wondering Ease Up?" by Faith n Hope. Forum board must have a glitch in it.
HCII
