I managed to hobble over here to the computer. The operations on my feet went well. I got home from the hospital last evening.
My feet are pretty sore...but not near as bad as yesterday. I am supposed to be in bed--and I will get back there shortly...but I wanted to thank all of you for your support and prayers.
I will try to keep in touch....the computer is about the same distance away as the bathroom--and the doctor said I could hobble to that...So...l will ck in periodically. Take Care Pat

Pat,
glad to hear you are well. Take some medicine for the sore-it's not necessary to feel the pain.
As a MD I support the advice of keeping the feet (legs) up.

Thank you all...what a pleasant surprise. When I was on the other day...all of a sudden I broke out in a sweat and the "world" started turning--I almost didn't make it back to my bed...so now I have been following orders...and staying in bed.
I did get up this morning and took a shower, which I wasn't supposed to--but it felt so GOOD!! I had to have a friend of mine come over and rebandage my feet--oh well...a spit bath tomorrow. I got dizzy again--so stayed in bed all day.
I am catching up on a year of no sleep--it is great.
I have been pampered by friends and my daughters. They have been great. Thank you all too for all your concern and prayers. You mean a lot to me.
I hope I am up on my feet soon...we need to plan a MB barn dance or something this fall. It would be fun. I am heading back to bed--before I get yelled at. Take Care Patty

So glad to hear everything went well with the surgery. If your like me, it's hard to let others help you, but just relax & get well.
It's amazing what a difference a shoer can make !!!! I just got back from an 18 hour car ride & feel the same way about a shower !!!
An MB Barn dance sounds fun. (I've never been to one) Here's another event that could be added to the MB fun calendar - an MB Beach Party in the (undiscovered) part of Florida. This area has several of the top rated beaches in the world.

Dear WGTT, A beach party sounds fabulous. My 16 year old is heading to Florida right now. They are going to Disney World and the beach. I am so envious. When her friend's mom picked her up this morning, I told her I could ride with my feet up in the back window. They didn't buy it <img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" /> Wouldn't a barn dance be fun. I'll work on getting a barn...and then getting my feet ready to dance. Did you have a great 4th? I did get to see some fire works. My feet are really doing a lot better. It felt good to get out of the bedroom for a few hours. Take Care Pat

You mean you don't have a barn ? Just kidding. The barn dance does sound like fun. I've never been to one & have no idea what it 's about, but I am up to trying new things.
I have a 16 yo d as well. I hope she has a great time in Olando & the beach. They will passby near where I live. See they could have put you in the back & dropped you off at my house & picked you up on the way back !
This year, I didn't get to see any fireworks. I went with oldest S to a friend's house, and went
inside to talk & missed the whole thing. I enjoy them but it was ok. I was really tired from the trip back to Fl.
My youngest son has a soccer camp next week which he is very excited about. He was bored to tears at my Mom's. He'll get to be with his buddies.
Please keep my in your prayers this weekend, as there is a lot of S**t that is hitting the fan so to speak. I'll write about it later after some of it has happened. You and your family are in my prayers. I am hoping to go to church tonight for a special program.

Dear Rose Red, How are you doing? It is so good to hear from you...I was wondering how you are doing!!! I am recovering from this whole horrid year and the divorce...and I am for the most part pretty happy. I still get down in the dumps every now and then...but I guess that is to be expected. I was dreading this surgery on my feet...but it hasn't been a week yet...and they are feeling so much better. Guess all that worrying was for nothing.....I should have used that time on something more productive. Oh well. How is everything in your life...I hope doing much better. Write and fill us in. Dear WGTT, No...we have a horse...but no barn. I have lots of friends that have them tho <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> A barn dance would be so much fun...I haven't been to one since college. I wish I was on my way to Florida....I would love to come and lay out on the beach for a few days. Actually, going anywhere for a few days would be fun!! I guess I should be excited that I can almost walk halfway normally...Mandy said it was raining near Orlando today. I hope they get better weather. My H. wrote an email tonight and he is dropping off the little guys a day early tomorrow afternoon. I love them dearly, but it has been kind of nice to recuperate with them gone. Back to reality tomorrow. We have boy scout camp coming up, a soccer clinic, vbs, and a few more swim meets. Then it is almost time for school. I have to get these feet in shape before school starts. How many people would be interested in a big MB barn dance? Wouldn't that be fun? Take care WGTT--it is so hard coming back from vacation and trying to get back into the routine.
