Pat,

Your little ones are home or coming home right?

Remember you are still recovering. Let them wait on you. and it is alright if they miss something if you could not get them rides.

DO NOT FEEL GUILTY!

Dear Sing,

Yes, they are home...and it gets tricky trying to keep my feet from being stepped on. Thank goodness I had last week to recuperate. The house was so quiet...and I could just lay and keep my feet up.

My feet are doing much better. I stubbed my toe on my worse foot yesterday--which set me back a little.

Tomorrow, I head to the doctor to try and get the stitches out. I am hoping they are both doing ok. My left foot feels a little worse.

How are you doing? Any movement in your divorce? That limbo land is not fun. Divorce isn't great either.....this whole situation is still so sad for me.

I better run to bed. Kyle starts scout camp tomorrow--I am going to try to drive for the first time tomorrow...Keep your fingers crossed. Pat

Dear Sing and H2Y,

Thank you for your posts and concern.

I didn't drive to Scout camp today--sent my son with a friend. It worked out great today.

I had my doctor's appt--and that was pretty disappointing. He said my feet are doing great. But he still wants me off of them. He scolded me for driving to the appt. He said no more driving for awhile.

He told me I could start taking showers(oops--have been doing that all week) and start moving more around the house. (Oops again--have been doing that for awhile).

He really told me to be careful...or it will still be healing when I go back to school in Aug. I was really bummed out. I was hoping the stitches would come out....and I could start exercising again, swimming etc.

I am so sick of this bedroom!!!!!

I did come home tho and had to take a pain pill, and slept all afternoon. I am afraid I don't make a very good patient.

I am working on getting rides for all the kids' activities. They have reading clinic, swim team, baseball, VBS, and scout camp this week. It is going to be interesting.

My 16 year old is home from Florida tonight tho--so that will help.

Have been going through emotional emails with my Ex too. He is trying to convince my 2 younger kids that his girlfriend is a wonderful, beautiful person and that if they accept being around my friend--then they need to accept and be loving to her too......YUCK.

Doesn't matter that there is a big difference between the 2. I didn't go out with my friend until the divorce was final. He is a wonderful, caring individual--who the kids have come to know and really like....it just kind of happened.

Anyway, the kids must have mentioned him to my exH---and now he is using him as a tool to get my kids to accept his mistress....I hope they understand the difference. It makes me sick.

He has written all sorts of awful emails to me this week. I am still the one at fault for all this mess. Now, I have been accused of "programming" the kids against him and his girlfriend. He again stated the older two girls are "lost causes"--but he is going to deprogram the younger kids and save them from me. How bizaare is that????

I don't have to say anything to the kids. He is the one who left us, flaunted his girlfriend in front of our faces, had his girlfriend hide in the bathroom when the kids visited, took the little ones with them to their hotel room, on the boat and other places--and told them to lie to me about it. Now he is saying it is my fault because they don't accept her. I didn't realize I had so much power....the guy is really sick.

I hate the thought that I have to put up with this the rest of my life. I hate the thought that he can try to influence my kids. He has caused so much damage....how do you forgive someone like that. I don't know if I can do it this time.

Sorry for the vent....I woke up early this morning trying to pray and come up with answers. It doesn't matter what I do, it is always wrong. I don't understand why after all this mess, plus the times he has done it before---why do I let this man still get to me. His emails hurt me.....why do I let him do that?

I feel like I have a cancer inside me---that I can't pluck from my body. I would give anything to get this man out of my life. I want to be happy--I want to move on....but he still manages to get me so emotionally upset. It makes me mad that he still has that control over me.

Sorry for the vent.....Pat

Since I wrote that last post this morning...I have been reading a book I bought before I had the operation.

It is called "Custody Chaos, Personal Peace Sharing Custody with an Ex Who Drives You Crazy"

By Jeffrey P. Wittmann

It is great....now I just need to apply some of these principles. Helps to know others also deal with these same emotions. I should post this over on the DD board too. Pat

Pat,

Glad you are taking it easy.

I wish you could get where your X doesn't bother you so & you could enjoy this friend.

Keep taking it easy.
