Hi. WH and I had our last counseling session today. He said he is definitely through with the marriage and I said I can't continue with the communication premise of the counseling session (he wants to continue to improve communication about the kids). He continues to lie to me about OW and did so in the session. It is too disrespectful. I told him I loved him and I wished he would try but I can't continue to be disrespected and I'm done with it.
The counselor said it's pretty clear H is done, etc. and we left.
While I feel bad, I also feel a sense of relief. I no longer have any reason to focus on the what if's, what is he thinking/doing, and I'm going to focus on finding a f/t job and where my life is going. Something someone long ago recommended on MB. Everthing in its own time.
I got my separation paperwork in yesterday to the atty.
I have learned so much here and my reading that I can apply later.
LHS and Cali-you've been my lifelines. Thank you.
It's so strange that I don't even know you. Thanks everyone else too. I am going to stay off the boards for awhile because I get pulled back into it. I spend alot of time lurking and looking for answers and hope. I must go call about jobs!
Thinking about you,
-CS

Just wanted to pop in and give you lots of hugs, thoughts, and prayers. I'm sorry I haven't kept up with you... but I know you're part of the MB "family". I'm sorry things didn't go the way you hoped with your marriage.

Best wishes... and we're here for you as much as you need us, k?

cs...

My H and I ended counseling as well because our counselor felt he had made his choice and he no longer wanted to be married. In fact, he had agreed to counseling once he left the house and she pushed him and pushed him to find out why... what would be the point? (I knew that he believed it would help us communicate better about the kids.)

However, I luckily found another counselor... an individual counselor who I am seeing to work on me. She is more of a coach who helps me deal, react, talk to my H. I highly recommend finding someone for YOU to help you through this transition in your life... someone you can talk to and bounce things off of...

Hugs to you... keep us posted,
Cali

CS-

I am so sorry things are going this diection. What really bothers me is the C saying it is hopeless after only a few sessions, that just doesnt sound right to me. Your WH has his head in a very thick fog (or maybe its somewhere else the sun has a hard time shining in!) He doesnt know what he is missing out on, believe me. One day he is going to wake up a realize what he has given up and then OW wont be looking so good anymore.

Take care of yourself, CS, let us know how you are doing. Remember, you are a part of the MB family and we do care about you. I have my email listed in my profile if you ever want to drop me a line.

And remember, it aint over until God says its over! Stranger things have happened, who knows....

Thanks for support. Wh and I haven't spoken since the counseling session except to exchange the kids. I can't even look at him. He seems OK with all of this. He had given me so many mixed messages in the beginning-I guess it was his way of letting go slowly until he made-up his mind. He said my mad phone calls confirmed that I can never let go of anything or change.
I've had a headache for two days-trying to summons-up the energy to be cheerful and move-on. I just don't understand how a man can walk away from three young kids and 18 years of a relationship but I need to accept he did it.
LHS-I don't see your e-mail or at least where to access it.
Take care,
-CS
