Hey wrungout - It's me - Miss O - I changed my name to something more positive! More the real me.
You did fine - you weren't ready to see him without your makeup and you weren't mentally prepared. You are now calling the shots. You see him when YOU want to - he didn't come when you told him he could - that's his problem if you "weren't home".
So let's see - why would he come in person? Maybe he wants to see you and this was a good excuse to just amble on over and check you out. If you weren't ready, he wasn't going to see what you wanted him to see. If he wanted to talk to you, you weren't mentally prepared to talk to him, since you would have already have been "rattled" by his showing up unexpectedly.
This was in the morning before you go to work? Maybe he left thinking - where is she, where was she last night? Her car is here, so maybe she was out with someone else and went home with "him"? Her car is here, so maybe she's got someone else in there she doesn't want me to see? Hmmm........... She doesn't answer the door - I wonder if she is all right?
I know those are the things I would be thinking if I was in his shoes standing on that front doorstep.
So maybe your instincts were right. It's OK - you live close to each other - you are bound to have more chances to run into each other - as long as you keep up the good work on yourself, he can't help but notice.
Take care!

Hi Wrungout...
Hope all is well, I don't think you did a thing wrong... ! He may or may not of seen you, prob. not. So don't worry, I think you did a good thing by not opening the door.. when you weren 't ready... prote ct you right now.
I think when you are prepared that is the best time. For example... In my business... Mary Kay... I do not answer the phone if not ready for business, I let the machine pick up and call later when my business is open...
Same goes for dating... which is kind of what is going on here with your spouse.. or will be.. if you get there... I think you will! You want to entice and be at your best and be beautiful when you see him..have him looking you up and down right? Now I know we are not all prepared to be beauty queens when we wake up... though I am sure you are still quite attractiv e right out of bed... ! But still, give yourself that cushion of time and preperation that you want and need and you will feel better!
Now is a time in plan a to take care of and focus and you, while being good to him.. but taking care of you , helps to take car e of him! or attract him, right?
Hugs to you Wrungout! HONEY <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />
You did FINE! DOn't worry! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Hey honey thanx for your response~! I couldn't believe how i just froze on the spot..then I thought H had gone around to the back door so I flew into the bathroom to try & get some makeup on but heard his truck driving off I would imagine that today when i collect my mail that H will have dropped the CD off there. You are right I only want to be seen at my best & also want to be in control of my emotions (it was the first time H had come to my place so I didn't want to stuff anything up, want him to feel "safe" when he visits...Well must dash got 2 put my makeup on hee hee....
