I have been meaning to share this with all of you, but have been rather busy. The other day (Tuesday), toward the end of the day I had a message on my voice mail at work from DH. He NEVER leaves me messages! If he calls and doesn't reach me he usually hangs up. I have caller ID so I know he called and will call him back. Well, Tuesday he left me a "I miss you very much and I love you!" message. It was so awsome.

Then, yesterday he had a rather stressful day at work. No issues with us, and we didn't fight or anything. I could sense something was wrong and when I asked he said he was tired. I left it alone and gave him a hug and kiss. He had a Marine Corp. League mtg. last night. When he got home he started talking about all sorts of things. How his meeting went, how his sales concepts went that morning, the crap at work, etc. He NEVER really talks about this stuff, for whatever reason. I had to laugh. See, last night I was exhausted, and the first time he want to spill his frustration (like I've been trying to get him to do for a long time) is a night I'm dog tired. I listened well though.

We also talked about how he had some bad dreams the night before. He dreamed that I was leaving him. I hugged him and told him that I love him and only him and he is the only one I want. I then kissed him and smiled and said and I really mean this. He seemed much better after that.

When we went to bed I mentioned to him that we made it past our 1 yr. with flying colors. He mentioned that it wasn't exactly with flying colors, we had some fights. I said, no I mean the 1 yr. day itself. I said we had a wonderful weekend, no issues, and no fights, and I wanted to point that out and how wonderful it was.

It was a great evening. A lot of communication and a hug sign of how our progress has paid off in our relationship. We then went on to some wonderful intimacy.

I am so happy, and things are so right in my life. Keep it coming. Thank you all for sharing this with me. You are all truly wonderful. My best to everyon - take care.

Thanks for posting your good news. I am trying to work toward recovery myself. It is so nice to see that recovery is possible, not just talk but real.

I wish I could have more intimate conversations with my WW. I realized the other day why I never tell her how I am feeling, and this is because she never really asks. I guess I should just spit it all out every once in a while, but I never feel like the timing is right. She does not seem to care much about me when we talk. She only talks about herself all the time. When I do talk about myself, she starts figiting and shows her disinterest when I talk about work or myself. That really hurts. I am glad that you listen to your H. I wish my WW would do the same.

Tutter,
After such turmoil sometimes it is weird to realize that sometimes a bad mood or a quite mood or stress is just that, and has nothing to do with the bad times.

Last night my H seemed...walled up. So, I asked "Are you upset with me?" His answer "No, what am I doing that makes you wonder?" Well, since he'd literally been doing "nothing" I said, as long as he wasn't upset with me, I was ok. His work environment is very different/more stressful from mine and his need of quiet time at home is much greater than mine, sometimes it doesn't feel right to me or I need interaction.

Keeping balance isn't always easy or timed well, like you being tired when your H was finally talkative. You did good in keeping his communication going.

And, you know? Normal couples fight, or have disagreements, too. MB does give you better skills than most though .

I'm happy for you.
