Read an article about the 7 year cycles by W.Bristow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Experts from many disciplines claim that changes within you are reflected in profound life changes every seven years. Seven -year cycles are present in the Jewish calendar, which had a fallow year, or sabbatical every seventh year, and in astrology, which predicts seven-year crises as the planet Saturn circuits our birth chart.
...Ask yourself what was your most serious decision at 28, then compare life at 35. Chances are you are facing the same issue, but it's in different wrapping. ...The Saturn return can be a pivotal time-and the life changes can be very joyous or totally traumatic.

Could be true..scary but true. My FWH's first fling was when he was 21....who knows the exact dates in between...but the current A took place when he was 48...It makes me wonder if I want to wait around for the sequel to come out in 7 years.

Age 14, left mother to go live with father in another state. I got married at age 21, stopped drinking at age 28 [was an alcoholic], got promoted and transferred at age 35, got divorced and son was killed at age 42. All of these years were the most MAJOR, life changing events of my life. There are no other major life changes.

"astrology, which predicts seven-year crises as the planet Saturn circuits our birth chart."
This is stupid. Saturn has a 29.5 year orbit. I'm having a tough time dividing that by 7 and getting a whole number. Maybe I missed something?

Thanks everyone.
2long You are right about the 29.5.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 28-- This period is identified by astrologers as the most testing of all the seven year cycles; they call it the Saturn 'return' to its natal spot when you are 28 to 30.
Dr Chris French, psychology expert, says "Whether there is a seven year cycle of crisis is not easy to establish. You'd have to do a study where people weren't aware you were looking for a cycle, and ask them to write a list of what they felt to be the turning points of their lives. When you think of those ages (7,14, and so on) they correspond to a time of natural transition. It's not necessarily proof of astrology, but a psychological and biological development." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So if Saturn return has more emphasis every 28-30 years, the next big challenge should happen at age 56-58. I am not an astrologer, but would imagine so?
For my & H's family it goes:
56- mother died. 57- father experienced "empty nest' all 5 children had moved out. 57- MIL diagnosed with cancer 56- FIL first grandchild born
My life changes:
7 - started school 14-confirmed 21-first overseas adventure 28-30- immigrated Down Under, first child born 35-H walked out on me
