Hello all!

I got layed-off my job on Fri due to company downsizing. To me, it is a praise report. My kids have been in fulltime daycare since they were 4 weeks old (now age 8 and 10). It has been a longtime desire of mine to be a stay-at-home mom. My marriage is finally at a good place. We are doing extremely well in recovery individually AND as a couple. My husband is fine with me being off since it was out of my control but he would feel better if I was working at least part-time. I'm looking for a job but the jobmarket is very slim right now. So I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts. My big thing is I don't know what I want to be when I grow up!

So...for right now I won't be logging on and posting much. My new job is very demanding!!! raising kids and making our home a safe haven for my H! I intend on having fun with my kids PLUS keeping our house clean and making homecooked meals. I gotta laugh at me because this is truly what I want but 10 years ago there is NO way you couldve convinced me that this is what I wanted.

When the kids go back to school (8/27), I will be back to check on yall.

You guys have been a great source of support. You are on my minds and in my prayers.

I am now accepting application for those of you who will fill my shoes as the Plan B advocate!!! Somebody PLEASE step-up. Plan A is good but only for a season. After awhile it makes me vomit!!!!!!

P.S. Hey! I'm not much of a cook. Please post easy but tasty recipes!!!!

Good luck to you in your new career!

I will attempt to fill your shoes in the advocacy of Plan B's. But you may want to recruit more of us!

Your kids will be so happy! Really this is such a good thing for them!

Enjoy!

Good for you!

I was home with my kids for 6 years. Best thing I have ever done. Since then, I keep my schedule so I see them off to school & can pick them up 3 days a week. They're teenagers now, and sometimes I learn more in that 10 minute drive than I do in a weekend.

ILUV,
Please check on us from time to time.
I'll try to be a part-time advocate for Plan B. I start my teaching job next week, so I too will be very busy.
But I feel the same way you do about Plan B, and will try and encourage others.
You have been such a help to me.
God bless you in all that you do.
KK
