Things seem to be progressing in a positive direction at my place. I have taken on the roll of "a friend". WE have been able to talk about her confusion and things she wants to do. If I can't answer with out adding my thoughts as a BS I simply tell her. Or she will ask if her friend is around, It’s a good way to let her talk and get things out. I have to bite my lip a lot but we have had some good talks.
So After several months of asking her on a date she has finally agreed to go out. I am deploying this weekend and will be gone for our anniversary. I wanted to do something special that will impress her and really be romantic. I have dinner planned at a really romantic restaurant, but can't seem to decide what to do after dinner. She is recovering from surgery so wouldn't be up to much physical activity.
I want to leave a lasting impression before I deploy. Any thoughts or Ideas?

My suggestion would be to do something the two of you have never done before. Don't bring back in the "ground hog" day syndrome. Do something new and exciting. You might ask what, I am sure you can think of something. Don't to the blah thing everyone else does. Change the pace of the dance and come up with something creative. Think back of things she said in the past she would like to do and you to have never done that. This is your chance so think of something that the two of you will remember for a long time. Don't worry about it being so romantic that will come with time. Do something new and different. Be different and show her you are a new and better person then before. Good luck..
