My wife has confessed to having affairs. She says she is so sorry and did not want to hurt me, yet she takes off and leaves me and the kids alone and does not come home until 6am. This has got me so down I cannot hardly look up.

Hang in there J, you are not alone. Her behaviour is typical of the WS.

I'm so sorry you have to be here, but I am glad you have found the site. There are many here who will support you whatever you choose to do now you find yourself in this situation.

Have you read any of the articles on the site, have you read other posts?

Hey, there for a second I thought someone was calling me!!

Hang in there, could you ellaborate a little more on your situation.
Seahorse was right, there are alot of good articles on this website.

I would start with the Basic Concepts (there's a link from the main page). This will go over Emotional Needs, Love Busters, etc.

Affairs occur when all of our needs are not met so you need to identify what emotional needs may have been lacking in your marriage.

If you are able to, I would get a copy of Harley's "His Needs, Her Needs" and "Surviving An Affair". Don't know where you live but they are available in most bookstores and Christian bookstores or order online.

His Needs, Her Needs will go in more depth of meeting each others Emotional Needs. Questionaires are available in the back of the book as well as on this website to download.

Surviving An Affair will help you how to react when you find your spouse is having an affair. Plan A/Plan B are discussed (also on this website). It will aid you with a Plan on how to overcome this.

Keep your chin up, we know how you feel. I know its hard but try not to concentrate on the affair itself, but on you. Read all the concepts, learn, you will be amazed at everything, improve yourself.
