Just thought I'd drop in and give a quick update. Things have been going pretty good for me, work is very busy right now so I don't have a whole lot of down time, but I have been making the most of the time I have. Up until last Tue, WW didn't talk to me very much, then all of a sudden on Wed and Thurs, she started calling and emailing me a lot, asking me what my future plans were for living arrangements, she throw out the 'live in the basement' idea again and even started calling apt places to see how much rent was and what kind of lease terms I could get. I found this to be very odd.
On Thurs, D asked me to take her to the pet store and when I picked her up, I could tell that something was wrong with WW, but I didn't say anything. Later on I found out that something happened between her and OM and that she also had a little run-in with OM's W concerning our kids playing together. (Why she insists on the kids remaining friends, I don't know, but it will never work IMHO). Oldest D also told me that OM and his family are moving to another city (about 50 miles away) where he found a job. I decided to stick around for the kids sake and WW spent the entire night talking on the phone with some friends, she was very distraught and I could tell she was doing a lot of crying. I put the kids to bed and before I left, I asked WW if she was ok, she said she would be fine. Not an hour after I got back to my place, she called and said she had to leave for a few days because she couldn't handle the situation anymore.
So, I went back to the house and told WW point blank that if she cant handle the situation anymore, she needs to leave on permanent basis and let me take over because this isn't fair to the kids at all. We talked for a bit, WW kept going back and forth between leaving and staying and I kept telling her that enough is enough. She finally said she would stay and how dare I try and take the kids away from her, even gave me the finger to stress her point.
The next day WW sent me an email and apologized for what happened the other night. She said she hadnt taken her AD's for a couple of weeks and had been drinking that day as well, a bad combination. She also said that she was completely done with OM and wasn't depressed over him, but mad at herself for being such a fool. She said she needs to be done with him, no phone calls, no emails, no personal contact because all he does is bring her more heartache. I replied that I love her and want to help her, but as long as things are so out of control, I cant. I also offered to watch the kids this weekend if she needs some time off.
I'm glad she is getting to this point of realizing how destructive her relationship with him is and is finally stating that she needs to stop all contact with him, even 'as friends'. Not sure what this means for the M, just have to see what develops. Until WW makes a move towards working on the M, I'll just sit back, do my Plan A, and see what happens.

Hi LHS, You certainly have been on quite the roller coaster ride haven't you! My hats off to you for keeping your sanity and your love for your wife. I admire your strength! Our situations are so similar and I can relate to your concern with the kids remaining friends. I also had that concern for quite a while. Right now my kids are with WH, OW and her kids! I am having a difficult time dealing with it, but have to realize that my H and OW are probably going to get married once our respective divorces are final so my kids will be her step children... UGHHH! The kids have no choice but to be friends w/ her kids. They will never go back to the best friends stage I am sure. The trust will never be the same. My kids feel betrayed by them because they knew all along and never told them.
Anyway... I hope your ride will begin the upward track again soon. You wife is so lucky to have you! Sooner or later she will realize just how lucky she is and will know in her heart what she has. I have a good feeling about your success! I think it is because of your incredible ability to be understanding and loving during all of this. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. BH

LHS,
Missed U?!!!! Of course. Aren't you the one who used to post jokes? LOL!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
Well it sounds like the ride is still on but the dips are shorter. Hopefully it will get to the point that the vehicle will be allowed to ride on the normal road of life and not the rollercoaster. I mean really a mini-van or SUV just doesn't do well on a roller coaster, ya know!??!? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
If she is going through more emotional stress know that it is not over yet. The fat lady has not begun to sing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />
So in the interim you sound like you are doing fine. You sound stronger and more determined. Move forward with a good attitude and all will see it.
take care, L.

"She even gave me the finger to stress her point"
.....when adults do this , it means their maturity has regressed to the adolescent level .... and they don't like themselves ..... but, they gesture "screw you" in a feeble attempt to coverup their lack of power.
Both comical AND pathetic. (I KNOW this because I've DONE the same thing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> )
YOU are holding yourself strong.
Kudos to you!
