I don't think that it would be easy to get stats from on here. You'd have to go through every individual user (by #?) and HOPE that they had a summary in the signature line telling whether or not they were in recovery.
The optimists point of view is this: There are far more recoveries than we realize on MB. This forum tends to be for support during rough times - especially during the initial plan A and B stages.
As someone who is in recovery, I can attest to the fact that I don't come on here as often as I used to... but that's b/c I don't have the NEED to come here as I once did. I like to believe that there are many out there who don't come on here anymore because they just don't need this support. Not to mention the fact, that there are times when MB is a BAD thing for a recovering M (usually b/c of the time taken away from the spouse and/or the triggers that resurface when reading posts).
As far as what the Harley's say on recovery statistics, if I'm not mistaken, Dr. Harley suggests that it's impossible to know for sure. What can be assured is that the MB principles, when used properly, are the BEST CHANCE to having a successful (long term) recovery. No other promises there.
But it's so true.. .that whatever the outcome of your M, if you follow the MB 'way of life' (??? ), you'll be a better person all around, and will, more likely than not, NOT be in the same situation (A's) again.
