My wife had an affair 5 months ago and we have been struggling to get along. It has really almost come to physical confrontation. We have mutually agreed that we should separate for a few weeks. I know she is not seing the OM, but my question is do people who ever do this actually get back together? Or is it just a prelude to divorce? Let me know, I'm hurting badly inside. I'm afraid I'll miss my 2 kids too much as well as her.

More info needed!

How long married?
How old are your kids?
Who is the OM? (co-worker? neighbor?)
How long did the A last?
How did D-day come about? (discovery or confession)
What was the pre-A M like?
What are YOUR strengths and YOUR weaknesses?
How old are you and your W?

Previous marriages for either?

(And we're just getting started!) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Just throwing this out to see if it will fly ....

Are you not a particularily gifted conversationalist?

Your answers seemed clipped and superficial. Is your W possibly a woman who needs good warm conversation to meet her needs? (a total 100% guess ... please forgive me if I am 100% wrong)
