This was too good to keep to myself, and since I'm not going to call my W to tell her, I had to post it! I apparently aced my 3rd interview (this time with the "Project Lead" who cut it off at about 20 minutes, so I thought I was toast! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> ) for an almost-dream position for a large company here in town. Just got a call letting me know to "get your best suit ready" to go in and talk to the VP!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

at first when I read the subject, I wasn't thinking and I interpreted it as you aced the interview with your wife - i.e. your upcoming talk with her was an "interview" with her and you did not explode/LB on her. well congrats on the interview you did have and good luck on the one with the wife! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> or maybe you're "interviewing" her...hmm...

This is truly a heart-warming feeling! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> And since everyone's here, I'll entertain you a bit. I'm SURE the ladies will get a kick out of my discomfort! OK, I go home to pick up a couple of suits for the interview, right? I thought WW wasn't home (car not there). Well she WAS there so I had to go through the whole story with her, and she's VERY excited and happy, I'm keeping my distance...she is looking absolutely gorgeous, just super-cute in her black Vertigo stretchy pants and tan knit top...oh, my! So I'm trying to hurry, get my stuff and get out before I succumb to....something! Now, she KNOWS she can easily do this to me, so she's just flashing this huge smile and prancing around me, I'm trying to concentrate (ok, this shirt matches, now what tie...) and she's hovering! I'm freaking...just threw everything into a gym bag and tried to run! She's all over me "good luck with the interview, make sure to call me, when is it?...." until I finally managed to exit, quick kiss for D, and I'm outta there! I swear, I had to catch my breath when I got to the car...drive off...next thing I know I'm dialing her number and she answers: "Did you forget something?" and I said "No." long pause "I just wanted to let you know that you look very, VERY cute in those pants..." she laughs, just...laughs. Says "Thank you." and I manage a "just wanted to tell you that...talk to you soon, ok?" "ok...bye" WHY can she just do that to me so easily?!?!? This is awful!....she just melts me down...I'm like mush, soft butter, helpless and weak! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

I'm very glad for you!
My husband is in a similar position, he's "Aced" three rounds of interviews, one last round this Thursday(only 2 other people left in the running!).
I never thought my H would ever be out of work this long, I still find it so amazing that so many fantastic people are STILL out of work after all these months, and people keep saying the economy is getting better and better!

BR; Very tough job situation out there. Most of my buddies and I were people who were always being recruited, and when we were out of work, we had 2-3 offers to choose from....well, no more! MANY of us have been out of work for close to a year, and with few prospects. Nasssssty! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
