For those who don't know - Sudz had surgery on a giant aneurysm in her brain that damn near killed her!!
So, I managed to get to the hospital today. She was in a wheelchair and outside having a visit with her daughter. I stayed about two hours with her. She may gain use of her left leg, but probably not her arm. Her first day of really speaking well was today! She's feisty that one. Trying to maneuver out of her wheelchair into her bed by herself....I don't think so. Anyway - still a long and hard journey of recovery for her. It'll be a few months of physio and being in the hospital! She is in the best hospital around ...state of the art and all of that.
She's most frustrated by having to really think before being able to talk. We had a chuckle over that one! She has moments where she is confused about time and on a couple of occasions she said she must have been in an accident. I said, no, you had a bad headache and an aneurysm. She would seem to pull her thoughts together again and remember what really happened.
It is tough to see her this way . We met for lunch once and were hoping to get together again and then this thing hit her...and , well, it has forever changed her. She's tough tho and I truly believe all your prayers and positive vibes are working. BUT - you're not done yet - please continue your thoughts and prayers....a miracle would be damn nice. [ September 06, 2002, 10:52 PM: Message edited by: Alberta ]

I am so glad to find this update Alberta. I have been worried sick about Sudz. I talked to her before her surgery but didn't know what was happening.
I have lost your e-mail address. Would you mind e-mailing me at mmawilliams@hotmail.com ? If I can get to the city I would like to see Sudz.
Please tell Wayne that I am thinking of them and praying for them day and night.

I'm gald that you saw her. I've been thinking of her so much lately. How lucky they caught it even though she is struggling right now. I'm praying that she makes a full recovery and can't wait to see her posting here again!
cleo
Alberta-maybe you could print out the messages for her so that she could see how much everyone here is rooting for her. just an idea
