My husband and i have been married for two years and have been together for three, we have two children together and two that arent his. I just had a baby two months ago and a month before i had her i found out that my husband was emotionally involved with another woman who he claims he just goes to to talk and hang out with....He says they have not been sexually involed.... He refuses to stop the affair and to be a husband and father to our children. His thing is, is that he wants her in his life as well as have me in his life also....we have been arguing because he says he is tired of checking in with me in other words he doesnt want to be calling me and letting me know when he is coming home or where is planning on going, while i am at home with no money, sometimes no food, and no car, pretty much noone to call on if i have an emergency, with all four children, he leaves in the morning to go to work and doesnt come home til late sometimes when he stops to go visit with the "other" woman or to his friends house, i have been willing to come to terms with the situation and accept that he has feelings for this other person, i am actually taking prozac because i got severely depressed over all that has been happening, especially with the overwhelming feeling of trying to be happy i just had a beautiful little girl and the stress over money and his affair, i am able to think alot clearer now and am willing to move on with my life but my question is should i just give up on the marriage i have tried and begged and pleaded with him to help me work things out, and to stop the affair not only for my sake but for the sake of our family....any questions or more info you need please hit me back comments would be greatly appreciated...ty

I am very sorry for the problems you are having. You have come to the right place though.

I cannot tell you if you should move on or not. That is you choice. But I think you need more information before you can make the choice. Please start by reading the material on this web site. Then read the book "Surviving An Affair". It's a good place to start. Pay particular attention to Plan A.

There is no reason for you to live with his affair. It's the most disrespectful and hurtful thing a spouse can do. The idea of Plan A is to give you some time to negotiate your husband ending the affair and working on your marriage.
