Hey all,
I emailed some local pastors the other day to ask them about who they recommend in our area for MC. One of the suggested counselors is a Biblical Counselor who uses the Prepare/Enrich Assessment (life innovations) program.
Has anybody had experience with the Prep/Enrich? I read about it and it looks like a method for identifying what is good, what is lacking and where a marriage stands. Has anybody used this approach to work on serious infidelity issues? Also, has anybody been been to a Biblical Counselor? This C has 23 years experience and a masters in counseling.
Thanks.

Not familiar with that one, but my wife and I had joint counseling with a Minister who is a trained couselor. He is part of a large organization of Christian counselors. It is called NANC (National Association of Nouthetic Counselors). Nouthetic means Biblical.
I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is totally based on Scripture and being obedient to God's commands. After 3 months of joint counseling our MC told us it was time to end counseling because we had progressed so well that there was little additional that he could do.
Regardless, a solid, biblically based, counselor who will focus on God's commands for marriage and husbands and wives is essential for Christians.

FH,
Thanks for the advice. I have contacted the C and asked a few more questions. I passed the info on to my wife to contact him if she feels like she should, she has hinted that she would be willing to before I got home.
