My cat had been gone a full week. He is big, black, smart and friendly. He has been with me for six years.

I had dreams about him every night. I was very sad about it, and my dear WW was so supportive of me. I dreamed that he was not gone or dead, but trapped somewhere.

On Monday, I noticed that a little used office in our condo complex had torn up mini-blinds, like a cat would do. I went up to the door, tapped on the window, and there was my kitty!!!!

I got the maintenance man to let me in, and kitty was no worse for wear!!! Yeah!! I am so happy and grateful to God and my WW!! I love that kitty so much, and was really in a funk over him being gone. I was getting close to giving up hope for him.

Sad Tiger -- I would have been going nuts if my kitty were gone for that long. Kitty has been a great comfort to me as long as I have had her -- 10 years (got her from the pound when we first got married) and especially a comfort during all of this A baloney. My WH is very attached to the kitty (I think maybe she's the only reason he came home at all when we were first separated).

I am so happy you found your kitty and share your joy -- I know just how I would feel in your shoes.

Thanks, Ladysing58... Yes, I am a much happier Tiger these days!

Unsureheart, this cat is super smart. He goes in and out of the house whenever he wants. He has stayed gone for 1-2 days occasionally, but never like this.

There was a time when he stayed outside for 2 straight years. Never came in one time. He is tough and smart. He will stare down the largest dog, (except for this one big white fuzzy Samoyed... scared the heck out of him!) and he knows not to run. He knows how to avoid cars and strangers. He comes when called too.

In short, he is a darn good cat, one even a cat hater could respect.

My WW is not crazy about cats at all, and even she likes this cat and is glad he is home.
